We would like to extend a very big thank you to the Badminton Group from the Loreto Secondary School in Clonmel for their kind donation of €147.00 to CARE following their recent Loreto Badminton Invitational. We were given a very warm welcome to the school for the presentation of the proceeds. The group showed great enthusiasm for the event and by making it a charitable occasion it made it even more special. It is very encouraging to see this type of awareness of local charities and how events like this do so much to help and support them in their work. We are very grateful to be the beneficiaries and we thank all involved, under the guidance of Trudy Kennedy, for the time and effort and of course their generosity. It is great to see such wonderful community spirit, thank you.

We are very grateful to Marlfield GAA Club who very kindly donated €300.00 to our Centre from the proceeds of their recent Table Quiz. Our photo shows Antoinette O'Keeffe making the presentation on behalf of the Club. Both our Centre and Marlfield GAA have so much to be grateful for with the support of our local communities and the fact that volunteerism plays such an important role in the continued success of both ventures. We thank them and everyone who attended the quiz most sincerely. We wish Marlfield GAA Club every good wish in all their sporting endeavours with the assurance that their contribution to CARE is very much appreciated, thank you.

We had a lovely visit from Maria and Aislinn Barry following the very successful Tractor Run in memory of the late Tom Barry. The family very kindly organised this event in Tom's memory as a fundraiser for CARE Cancer Support Centre. The amount raised was €11,000.00 which was an amazing achievement. It was testament to the hard work put in by all concerned and to the esteem with which Tom was held in the communities of Clerihan, Fethard, Newchapel, Clonmel and surrounding areas. A special thank you to Cian O'Sullivan, who, along with preparing for his Confirmation, put in trojan work before, during and after the event. Thank you to all the people who came out in huge numbers on the day and of course all the Tractor Drivers who made it a very special and spectacular occasion. Our photo shows the cheque presentation here in the Centre and includes Aislinn Barry, Niall O'Sullivan, Cian O'Sullivan, Maria Barry, Nuala Sinclair, Michael O'Brien. A very sincere thank you to everyone from all the team here at CARE.

A very big thank you to everyone who attended the "Stars In Your Eyes" event in Rosegreen Community Hall on Saturday night. What an amazing line up of acts and congratulations to "Westlife" for a memorable performance. Everyone who took to the stage on the night deserves great cudos for the work and hours of practice that went into making the night such an enjoyable and fun occasion. We in CARE Cancer Support Centre cannot thank everyone enough for coming out in such large numbers to support Kelly and Aoibhinn with their fundraising. We wish them well with their preparations and training. They certainly deserve great credit for taking on such a mammoth task and we are so grateful that they have chosen CARE as their nominated charity. Well done and thanks again to everyone involved.😀😀
