Today at the Centre we had a special visit from representatives of Clonmel Credit Union, Audrey Conway, Sinead Fahey and Celine Scully who made a presentation of €2,000.00 to CARE, this being the proceeds of their very successful and enjoyable "Goals that give 2026" 6-a-side soccer tournament which was held at the Clonmel Town FC Dr Pat O" Callaghan Sports Complex on the 12th September this year. This annual event is organised by Clonmel Credit Union as a means of raising much needed funds for local charities and we are so grateful to have been chosen as this year's beneficiary. Similar to the Credit Union, CARE Cancer Support Centre is very much rooted in the community and their very generous and thoughtful donation reflects that ethos of service and commitment to the people of Clonmel and South Tipperary. We are very grateful to everyone who supported the event on the day, Players, Teams and spectators without whom the event would not have been the success it was. We extend a huge thank you to the Staff, Management and Board of Clonmel Credit Union for their time and enthusiasm in organising this very worthwhile event each year. You can be assured that the rewards gained are very much welcomed and appreciated.Thank you from all the team here at CARE.

On Monday of this week, we welcomed back to our Centre our two intrepid adventurers, Aoibhinn Fanning and Kelly Joyce having completed the mammoth task of conquering Mount Kilimanjero, the highest mountain in Africa and one of the highest mountains on Earth. Aoibhinn and Kelly undertook this journey as a fundraising event for C.A.R.E. and for this we are so very grateful. Following months of training and preparation they set off with a group of fellow like-minded adveture seekers which added a great element of fun and long lasting friendships to the overall experience. In the run up to the trip they organised a number of fundraising events including a most enjoyable and fun talent contest " Stars in Your Eyes" in Rosegreen Community Centre. The event was very well supported by the entire community which gave them great encouragement and support. We in C.A.R.E. are very grateful to everyone who gave so generously and to all the various sponsors for their kindness in support of this undertaking which raised an amazing €5,400.00 for our Centre Thank you again to Aoibhinn and Kelly..you can be very proud of your achievement and for your kindness and thoughtfullness in selecting C.A.R.E. as your chosen beneficiary. We wish you both every success for the future and well done again on achieving your goal.

W would like to say a huge thank you to Emily Farrell Lauren Fitzgerald and Ronan Walsh for organising a wonderful fundraising event for CARE Cancer Support Centre on Saturday the 15th August at 37 Queen Street. The Musical Bingo event proved to be a huge success and everyone who attended said it was one of the most enjoyable fun nights they had experienced in a long time The event was a huge success with €1300 being raised to support the work of CARE. The organisers, Emily, Lauren and Ronan would sincerely like to thank everyone who came on the night in such large numbers. A special word of thanks to the management and staff of 37 Queen Street for their hospitality and kindness in hosting the event. The one and only Mr Ken Horne did a wonderful job as MC on the night. The success of the night was due in no small way to the very kind local businesses who donated some lovely spot prizes for the raffle, a special thanks to:

Just to let you know the CARE centre will close for our annual summer leave from 17th August until 9th September. We are very grateful for the support from our community over the past few months.
