Recognizing that interaction between immigrants and citizens is a fundamental mechanism for integration, since March 2008, The Intercultural Centre has run a variety of programmes promoting and supporting integration and interculturalism*. (* Interculturalism refers to support for cross-cultural dialogue and challenging self-segregation tendencies within cultures.) Building the capacity of immigra

3. Providing volunteer opportunities for members of Irish and immigrant communities to increase their participation in the life of the local community.
• Arabic, French, Spanish, Russian and other language classes with native speaking volunteers.
• Volunteering opportunities organizing and supporting the IC programmes/events. The Intercultural Centre is a drop-in centre providing the following services:
