Brian McKeown, LIPF, EFIAP.

Many congratulations to Founder member Brian McKeown for achieving his EFIAP distinction today.

Brian is a Founder Member of the Club and over the years since it’s foundation in January 1988 has contributed enormously to he development and success of the Club.

Brian regularly hosts the ‘Basics of Photography ‘weekends, normally held in early October and early February, which have proved very educational and informative for many years, especially for Members new to photography.

No Meeting in Aras Chronain Tuesday 05 May

Tuesday May 5th 2026 – there will be no usual meeting in Aras Chronain on Tuesday 05 May as there is an outing to Poolbeg Lighthouse instead.

Please meet at this pin drop https://maps.app.goo.gl/BeXbV2SYSfM9hsTUA which is Poolbeg Lighthouse at 7:30pm.

Public transport is not an option, as it's too far of a walk. Low tide is at 8.15 p.m. and sunset at 9.00 p.m.

There are two parking options that we know of. One small carpark beside the location we are meeting, and a second larger carpark called Shelley Banks Carpark located here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/VuirhLybVizMA6tj7?g_st=ac.

We would advise car sharing considering the limited parking. If you don't drive, please arrange a lift with another member.

As we will be there at sunset, so please dress appropriately, as it can get chilly down there.

Tuesday 28 April – we will have a Print Battle.

We ask that Members bring along 5 mounted prints with a range of subjects for the print battle, and be Mono or Colour or a mix of both.

For those going on the Lambay Island Boat Trip on Saturday 02 May, please bring €40 in cash, exact fare please.
