Well another year of our Claregalway Youth hub draws to a close but we will be looking forward to meeting next years 1st years again in September. πŸ‘

The Claregalway Youth hub seems to be going from strength to strength each year, with up to a 100 kids attending most nights, and the feedback from this years kids proves this year was the best year so far. πŸ‘
πŸ‘

We will be proposing that this years 1st years will be moving to Saturday night from 8-10 come September, and we will be sending out the registration form for that in September.

We would like thank the 1st Year Parents Council for a huge effort all year with the running of the hub. They brought such enthusiasm and goodwill, and are the core reason for this years success. Samantha Leonard, Eilis Codyre, Fionnuala Glynn, Sheena Moran, Brendan Dunleavy, Muiris Quinn, Pat Connolly, Jarlath Sweeney, and Sean Garvey.

We would like to thank all those that supported us throughout the year -

Sean Fox for kindly making up our Youth Hub Signage and picture frame for our last night.

Shane Mooney for kindly assisting us with important policy documentation required to run our youth hub.

We would like to thank Anam Croi charity shop for supplying clothes for fun activities in the final night.

We would like to thank the Claregalway community centre for all their support since we started three years ago.

And of course we would like to thank our local TD Noel Grealish, for all his support for the hub from the very beginning and his continued support, it's greatly appreciated.

Finally we would like to especially thank all the parents that volunteered to supervise throughout the year.
We had a huge amount of parents volunteer and we are really so appreciative. Thanks also to all those who made donations throughout the year and of course on our final night, thank you all so kindly.

Hope everyone has a wonderful summer and see ye all again in September.

Regards,

Claregalway Youth Hub Committee.

Thanks for popping in tonight Noel for our final night of the year and a huge thanks for all the support throughout the year as we continually try to improve youth facilities for the young people in the village.

I believe you were on the winning side of the tugawar, but ya had the Donegal muscle there with ya- Jarlath Sweeney.

Thanks again.

Dear parents,

Next Friday night the 23rd will be our final night of the year and we want as many as possible to be there to celebrate it with us, that includes the parents as well.
So can everyone please make an effort to attend as we have loads of fun activities lined up such as Tug-A-War, Clothes Swap, Hula Hub Challenge and loads more and of course free pizza to top of the night. We would really appreciate any parent that has supervised for a night to come along as we want to thank them and get a picture of them as well. They were the reason this year was so successful and we are really appreciative.

We want to get a group picture of this year's group of kids that will be hung up in the Hub alongside a dedicated space for the kids to sign their name as a permanent reminder to their time spent in the hub. This will become a new tradition each year for the kids hopefully for many years to come.

Our Bottle recycling campaign brought in €141.00 which will go towards the cost of the end of year party and we would like to really thank everyone that brought in bottles, every little helps. We even had a car load of bottles dropped off from our local TD Noel Grealish who has been hugely supportive of the Youth Hub and all we are trying to achieve for the youth in the village.

As a committee we work hard all year to make sure we keep the cost to families and kids as low as possible but that does leave us tight when we go to replenish the hub for the next group of 1st years coming. So if any parent would like to make a donation to the Youth Hub and our end of year party, we would be very grateful no matter how small the amount is. You can donate online by using our bank details provided here- Claregalway Youth Hub - IBAN IE14BOFI90403443600241
Alternatively we will also have a donation bucket on the night if you would to drop a few euro towards the hub

We will be sending out Registration forms for next years 1st years in the coming weeks, so please do tell all you know to get involved as it is just an amazing space for the kids and they absolutely love it. So let's keep building on it.

See ye all on Friday for what is going to be an amazing night. We will send out a reminder on Friday morning.

Regards,

The Claregalway Youth Hub Committee.

A huge thanks to all that came along this evening to give us a hand strip out the Youth hub, a huge amount of pulling and dragging but we eventually got it all tidied up and put away in the corner. In a couple of weeks we will have to put it all back together again when we reopen at the end of March.

Best of luck to the drama festival over the next couple of weeks, we are looking forward to seeing some of the plays.

***Important Notice**

Hi all,

This evening at 7 pm we have to strip out all contents of the youth hub and take down the studded wall to make way for the Claregalway Annual Drama Festival.

We will be storing all the pool tables and seating at the opposite end of the hall, so we need a lot of help to move it all, therefore we are asking if you available this evening from 7pm we would really appreciate your help.

The Youth Hub will not be open for the next three weeks.

Thanks,

Youth Hub Committee
