💚 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE CELBRIDGE ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE 💚

If you are aged 18+ the St. Patrick's Day Parade committee of Celbridge Community Council would be delighted to have you volunteer as a steward for this year’s parade!

💚 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE CELBRIDGE ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE 💚

The parade is the biggest community event of the year — but it only happens because local people step forward to help us bring it to life. This year, we’re looking for volunteers to give a hand with a variety of tasks both before and during the parade.

Here’s where we really need support:

🌅 Early Morning Set‑Up (from 8am)
- Marking out the start area on Church Road
- Marking out the finish area at Tesco
- Setting up gazebos for the Face‑Painters and Photo Booth
- Attaching banners to the safety barriers along Main Street
- Setting up the Accessible Viewing Zone and the Quiet Zone

🚧 Main Street Closure (from 1.30pm)
Once the road closes, we need help moving the barriers from the footpaths out to the edge of the parking bays.

🚦 Parade Stewarding (1pm–6pm approx.)
Our biggest need is volunteers at the road closure points to help direct traffic.

These key locations are:
- Maynooth Road (by the Garda Station)
- The Green at St. Patrick’s Park / Church Road
- Clane Road (Petrol Station)
- Clane Road (Tea Lane)
- Main Street (at the bridge)

These roles are vital — and while volunteers in these areas don’t get to see much of the parade, without them the parade simply cannot go ahead.

If you can spare any time at all — morning set‑up, stewarding, or both — we would be incredibly grateful.
