What an unforgettable morning we had again this year our biggest and most memorable one yet. So many of you came together to walk into the most important sunrise of the year, and it simply wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors 💛

A heartfelt thank you to every single company that donated and helped make this event so special. Your generosity meant our participants could return to the GAA hall and be surrounded by the kindness and warmth our community in Celbridge has to offer. For me those moments in the Gaa are as important as the actual walk. It's there we sit down amongst those in our community and meet those in similar situations, find that listening ear or simply find someone to have a chat and a cup of tea with. Those moments can mean everything to someone struggling.

One of the most powerful moments of the morning for me was seeing two women, complete strangers, arrive alone and leave together as friends. That memory will stay with me. That moment has shown me that the morning was a success. It was such a beautiful reminder that we are truly never alone someone is always there.

We truly couldn’t have done this without our amazing sponsors and volunteers. They are the backbone of this entire event, and their kindness made a difference not just on the morning itself, but to the lives Pieta supports every single day.

To those sponsors who have continued to support our committee and community over the past three years thank you. Your ongoing support means more to us than words can say.

As always its been an absolute privilege to help bring another successful Darkness Into Light to Celbridge again this year. It is a privilege to be part of a community that stands together through loss, difficult times and in support of one another 💛

✨🌅 ONE DAY TO GO, DARKNESS INTO LIGHT CELBRIDGE 🌅✨

We’re now just one day away from tomorrow morning's walk on Saturday, 9th May and final preparations are complete as excitement builds across the community 💛

Please make sure to plan your journey carefully and allow plenty of time to arrive, park at Hazelhatch Train Station and use the shuttle service from 3:30am. Early arrival is essential so everyone can get settled and ready in good time.

🚶‍♀️ The walk will begin SHARP at 4:15am, so please ensure you are in position well beforehand to avoid missing the start of the walk 🌅

Wrap up warm, bring your torch and wear hi-vis for visibility.

Last chance to be included in our video 💛

This year, as part of Darkness Into Light Celbridge, we would like to create a special remembrance video to honour the loved ones we have lost to su***de. 💛

The video will be shown on the big screen on the morning of our walk as a tribute to those who are forever missed and always remembered. 💛

If you are posting pictures of friends, please make sure you have permission from their families as to not upset anybody. 💛

Sadly, our community has experienced so much loss in recent years, and we hope this will be a beautiful and meaningful way to remember them together. 💛

With only two days left, our amazing committee is working flat out behind the scenes to make sure everything is in place for this year’s Darkness Into Light walk on Saturday, 9th May. Excitement is really building now, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone for such a special morning.

This is more than just a walk, it’s a chance to stand together in support of Pieta, helping to raise awareness and vital funds for su***de prevention and mental health support. Every step taken brings hope, connection, and light.
