We were delighted to welcome Norma Foley TD, Minister for Children, Disability and Equality to Sunny Hollow Community Creche, on Tuesday afternoon for a special visit to see first-hand the incredible work that takes place every day within our service.
It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the dedication and commitment of our amazing staff, our committee members, and the County Childcare Committee, all of whom play such an important role in supporting children and families in our community. Minister Foley also spent time meeting the children in our service, which was a real highlight for everyone involved, we were so happy to have her with us.
During her visit, Minister Foley commended our service for the quality of care we provide and recognised the ongoing dedication of our staff. We also had the chance to discuss the Building Blocks Grant funding and share our plans and hopes for the future. We are incredibly excited about the opportunities this funding will bring, particularly in helping us to create much-needed childcare spaces in our local area.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Minister Niamh Smyth, Deputy Brendan Smith, Senators Joe O’Reilly, Diarmuid Wilson, Pauline Tully and Cllr. Trevor Smith for joining Minister Foley and for their continued support. It was a pleasure to welcome them all to our service and to give them a glimpse into the vital work our team carries out each day to support children and families from such a wide catchment area.
Thank you to everyone who made this visit so special, we look forward to the positive developments ahead!
