Darkness Into light Castletownbere Darkness Into Light is an annual fundraiser for Pieta house in aid of su***de awareness and self harm. Darkness into light walk came to Beara in 2015.

While it is a fundraising event for Pieta House it is also a symbol of hope and a celebration of life. It raises awareness and enables & encourages people, letting them know that they are not alone as there are many who suffer in silence. Darkness into light takes place at 4am Starting at The Beacon (The Beara Bay Hotel) Castletownbere. The selected route is 5k. You are invited to join the communi

ty in walking or running (your choice) the route starting at 4am in the darkness and reaching the finish line at sunrise. Afterwards there will be tea, coffee and treats in the Beacon Nightclub. At 4.15 am tonight Friday night Saturday morning!!
We will all meet on the Pier beside CatchaCoffee and walk the usual route from the pier up the North Road and down Fioldarrig and back to the Pier via the Back Road.
There will be stewards on duty along the route enjoy the walk and mind each other.
All funds raised go to Pieta. Ending Su***de. Beginning Hope sponsored by Electric Ireland C103 Cork
