The Roscommon Young Carers Project

We provide workshops and activities designed to support young people who help care for family members at home.

From exciting day trips to adventure centres and outdoor activities, to creative arts and crafts, cooking, teamwork challenges, and other life skills workshops, these sessions give young carers the chance to make friends, build confidence, learn new skills, and most importantly, have fun and enjoy being young.

The Project is offered throughout Roscommon County. (Roscommon Town, Monksland, Castlerea, Ballaghaderreen, Boyle).

To commemorate The World Refugee Week, The Castlerea FRC in conjunction with The Irish Red Cross and The LAIT Team at The Roscommon County Council will hold a Psychological First Aid Workshop.

The aim is to support young people to reduce distress and anxiety, promote a sense of safety and foster long- term resilience.

This is a free community event, for young people aged between 10 - 21 years from all walks of life. If you would like to attend, please feel free to contact Dorothy on 083 0235614 to make a booking.
