What is a Family Resource Centre
Family Resource Centres provide a wide variety of supports and services to people within their own community. At Maine Valley Family Centre these include:
Information, advice and support to families
• Practical assistance to community groups such as training,
information and advice
• Education courses and training opportunities
• Women’s groups
• Men’s Groups
• After school clubs
• Parenting courses
• Parent and Toddler Groups
• Counselling

Over 100 service providers from health, education, community, and the voluntary sectors in Kerry turned out for the first ever Kerry Literacy and Wellbeing Conference in the Rose Hotel Tralee this week. The event was co-ordinated by the Health Promotion and Improvement Team at HSE Southwest and by the Kerry County Council Public Participation Network, on behalf of the Kerry Regional Adult Literacy Coalition.

We had a fantastic morning with Castlemaine Parent, Baby & Toddler group celebrating Infant Mental Health Awareness week 2026 with Giddy Goats. The children had the best time playing with bubbles, watching The Gruffalo puppet show, dress up, singing and dancing and a treat bag to finish it off. Castlemaine Parent, Baby & Toddler group return in September 🥰
