🌸 Volunteers Out in Force!

A great two evenings of work from our volunteers as we continued maintaining Castlebar's flower beds and roundabouts across the town.

Weeding and feeding was carried out on the flower beds along the N5, Westport Road, and Ballinrobe Road, with some great before and after results already visible! 🌿

A special mention to John M, Kevin R, and Joe B who also tackled the Westport Road Roundabout and two of the islands and the results speak for themselves!

Every bit of effort adds up and it's the dedication of volunteers that keeps Castlebar looking its best. Thank you all! 🙏

Huge congratulations to the students and staff of St. Gerald's College on receiving their Green Flag for the Litter & Waste Theme as part of the Green-Schools Programme! ♻️👏

This award is a fantastic recognition of the hard work and commitment shown throughout the year in promoting recycling, reducing litter and encouraging sustainability within the school community.

Castlebar Tidy Towns were delighted to work with the 1st Year students during An Taisce National Spring Clean, where they took part in a local litter pick and showed great enthusiasm for keeping Castlebar clean and tidy. It’s wonderful to see litter awareness and environmental responsibility being embraced by young people in our community.

Well done to everyone involved. A brilliant achievement for all! 🌍💚
