💪 A Huge Thank You to Our Patrick’s Hill Heroes! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
Yesterday we were honoured to receive a cheque for €2,035 from Ned Ramsell and his incredible team, who bravely took on the challenge of running up Patrick’s Hill to raise vital funds for East Cork Community First Responders.

Your determination, spirit, and generosity have made a real difference — every euro helps us continue providing lifesaving care across our community.

To everyone who donated, cheered them on, or helped spread the word — thank you. Your support keeps our responders trained, equipped, and ready to help when it matters most.

Today we’re proud to show off our new East Cork Community First Responders uniforms — a fresh, modern look that gives our volunteers a unique identity and sets us apart from other emergency services and CFR schemes.

This isn’t your typical yellow high‑viz.
Our new kit is high‑quality, weather‑resistant, and built for day‑and‑night protection, ensuring our responders can work safely and comfortably in every condition East Cork throws at us.

This upgrade was made possible through generous support from Cork County Council and the Local Enhancement Grant, whose funding allows us to keep improving the safety and professionalism of our team.

A huge thank you to Joanna McLernon Coomey for capturing these fantastic photos — they really show who we are: a committed, community‑driven team ready to respond whenever we’re needed.

And while not everyone could be in the pictures today, every member of East Cork CFR plays an essential role in keeping our community safe. These uniforms represent all of us.

A huge thank you from all of us at East Cork Community First Responders! 💚
Under the watchful eye of Father Mathew on Patrick Street, 11 brave souls took on the infamous 400‑metre challenge — running up Patrick’s Hill with its maximum gradient of 25% and a climb of 42 metres. Nothing was going to stop this incredible group from raising vital funds for our organisation, and they absolutely smashed it.

A special word of thanks to Ned Ramsell for organising the event so seamlessly, and to Timmy Mulcahy for generously sponsoring the trophies.
Huge appreciation also to Vince Crotty for supplying water, fruit, and Marsbars to keep everyone fuelled.
And of course, thank you to the runners — and their brilliant supporters — who showed up at 8am on a Sunday morning with energy, commitment and community spirit. Your support means more than you know.

If you’d still like to contribute, you can donate using the link below. Every euro helps us continue delivering lifesaving care across East Cork. 💚

🏃‍♂️💙 & His Crew Take On Patricks Hill! 💙🏃‍♂️

Ned and his Crew have decided to put their legs (and lungs) to the test by taking on one of Cork’s toughest climbs — running up Patricks Hill — all to raise funds for East Cork Community First Responders.

They’re doing this because our CFR teams receive no state funding. Every call-out, every piece of equipment, every training session is funded entirely by the generosity of people in our own community.

💙 Every euro donated stays 100% local
💙 Every donation helps save lives
💙 Every step the lads take supports volunteers who respond day and night to emergencies

If you’d like to support the team, you can donate directly to Ned or through the official fundraising page below:

Anything you can give will make a real difference to the people we serve across East Cork. Thanks for cheering on the lads — Patricks Hill is steep, but the cause is worth every stride.

A huge thank you to The Hospital Saturday Fund for their generous donation to our Community First Responder scheme.

Their support has allowed us to upgrade our infant, junior, and adult CPR manikins with advanced airway management capabilities. These improvements mean our volunteers can now train to the highest possible standard across all age groups, ensuring we’re fully prepared whenever our community needs us.

This investment strengthens our ability to deliver high‑quality emergency response training and ultimately helps us make a real difference on the ground.

Thank you for believing in our work and supporting our mission.
