Carrigaline Community First Responders - CFR's

Carrigaline Community First Responders - CFR's Carrigaline Community First Responders are a volunteer group providing life saving support to our community.

CCFR respond to life threatening emergencies alongside the National Ambulance Service and deliver immediate care until ambulance crews arrive. Carrigaline First Response comprises of trained volunteers who assist with cardiac or respiratory arrest, and choking emergency calls within the community, providing basic emergency care whilst an ambulance is en route to the patient within Carrigaline and

its neighbouring areas. The scheme is not intended to replace the professional emergency medical services of the HSE or NAS, but rather to complement and enhance their services. All emergency calls are activated through The NAS National Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System which automatically alerts the on-call First Responders by SMS Text Alert of a Clinical Status 1 (ECHO) 999 emergency call in their area. If a CFR (Community First Responder) is available, they will respond. This will occur concurrently with the dispatch of emergency resources and will not delay the dispatch of those resources.

Everyone at Carrigaline Community First Responders (CCFR) would like to wish local young man David Howard and his dad John, who will be on the bag as David's caddie, all the very best as David tees off this morning at The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

David's achievement is a source of great pride for our community, and we know people across Carrigaline and beyond will be following his progress and cheering him on every step of the way.

A huge thank you to Carrigaline & District Lions Club for a brilliant community event, and to everyone who sponsored a duck. 🦆💛
Every euro raised helps us train Responders and upgrade life‑saving equipment — your support keeps us going.

Carrigaline & District Lions Club is delighted to announce that our recent Rubber Duck Race raised an incredible €4,097.00 in aid of Carrigaline Community First Responders - CFR's! 🚑

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who supported the event, purchased a duck and joined us on the day. Your fantastic support and generosity helped make the event such a great success and will support the vital work of Carrigaline First Responders in our community. ❤️

We would also like to say a huge thank you to our hardworking Lions members on the organising committee, whose time and hard work made the event possible. 🦁
