Just some fun facts about Carbury Active Retirement!
> Everyone is welcome.
> The group is for both Men and Women.
> There is no age restrictions.
> We are not affiliated with the H.S.E.
> You will be guaranteed to have a good belly laugh.
> The group is solely for people to socialise and meet new people.
> We play bingo and are considering starting up a bowls group.
> We are tea lovers but will stretch to a coffee too. 😀
> If we keeping consuming cakes at the rate we do, then we may need to attach a diabetic warning to our group!! 🤣🤣
> A sense of humour is not required but is advised!

Come along and see for yourself and if it's not for you then no worries and if it is, it may be the best decision you ever made.

Hi All, We are urgently looking for extra volunteers for our Monday and Thursday group to make a pot of tea for our members and call the bingo numbers. Currently all our volunteers work and are trying to work around the group. As it is an important social outlet for people we want to be able to offer this outlet twice a week every week so if you have a couple of hours to spare the odd Monday or Thursday then message the page. We would be delighted to welcome you on board.

Our Christmas party took place and it was a huge success!! Our members had a day to remember! A huge Thank you to Robert Bergin for catering and serving us a fabulous dinner! Thank you to Carbury Gaa for the use of their facilities aswell as speedy and Mag for going above and beyond to make it a success. Also thanks to our Community Guards Lennie and Aidan for popping down and entertaining us and of course counsellor Brendan Wise for attending also and for all his help setting up this group.
