Did you know that when we go live, we won’t only cover the Village!

Because medical emergencies don't care about Townland boundaries, our trained volunteers will respond to calls across a 3 km radius. If you live in, travel through, or have family in any of the areas highlighted on this map, our team will be there to protect you. We aim to bridge the gap by providing immediate, life-saving treatment in those first critical minutes while an Ambulance is on the way.

Our approximate coverage zone includes:

Ballyshannon & Carrighill
Davidstown, Rickardstown, Coldwinters & Blackhall
Halverstown & Kilgowan
Moortowncastle & Hacklow

we will also respond alongside our fellow volunteers from surrounding CFR groups such as Kilcullen Community First Responders, Curragh CFR Group, Dunlavin Community First Responders and Rural South Kildare Community First Responders

Every single euro donated to our fundraising appeal goes directly toward buying the medical equipment needed to safeguard this entire circle.

Please note this is an approximate response area. Actual response area will be determined by the National Ambulance Service.

🚨 CALVERSTOWN: WE NEED YOUR HELP TO LAUNCH 🚨

We are officially moving from planning to action, but we can't get out on the road without our community behind us! ❤️

We are establishing Calverstown Community First Responders; a team of local volunteers trained to respond to life-threatening emergencies (like cardiac arrests, strokes, and choking) alongside the National Ambulance Service.

When someone stops breathing or suffers a stroke in our area, the first few minutes are everything. We want to ensure a trained local responder living just down the road is moving instantly while the ambulance is en route.
To make this a reality, we need to secure €8,000 for our essential start-up medical equipment:

🚑 Life-saving Defibrillators (AEDs) & Response Bags

⛑️ Advanced CPR & Choking Training
Equipment

🦺 High-Vis Safety Gear & PPE

We cannot launch this service without local support. We know what Calverstown can do when we come together, and in no time we will hit our goal and have a live, life-saving team protecting our families!

How you can help right now:

1️⃣ DONATE: Hit the link below to donate via iDonate. Every single euro stays 100% local.

2️⃣ SHARE: Hitting Share pushes this onto the feeds of more locals who can help!

🚑❤️ We Need Your Support ❤️🚑

We are currently setting up Calverstown Community First Responders; a group of trained local volunteers who will respond alongside the National Ambulance Service to medical emergencies in our community.

In emergencies such as cardiac arrests, strokes, and choking incidents, those first few minutes can save a life. Our goal is to ensure Calverstown has trained responders ready to help while an ambulance is on the way.

To get fully operational, we need to raise funds for:

❤️ Defibrillators (AEDs)
❤️ Emergency response bags
❤️ PPE & high-vis gear
❤️ Training equipment

It costs approximately €8,000 to fully equip the group; and every donation, no matter how small will make a real difference.

If you can support us, please donate or share the fundraiser below ❤️

Our members were out this morning performing a regular check on our Public Access AED. These checks are essential to ensure the AED is emergency-ready at all times.

Our check includes:

Checking that pads are in-date and sealed

Verifying the battery status to ensure the unit has full power

Ensuring the AED and cabinet is clean, dry, and easy to access

Making sure the green rescue kit is fully stocked and ready for use

A huge thanks to our volunteers for looking after this vital life-saving resource for Calverstown!
