Little Stars Preschool & After-School Programme at Ballyshannon National School
Ballyshannon National School are delighted that Little Stars Preschool and After-School Programme will be operating in Ballyshannon National School from September.

A limited number of places are still available in both the Preschool and After-School Programme. Children attending the preschool can also avail of the After-School Programme if required.

Calverstown Community First Responders are still looking for volunteers if you want to dedicate sometime to this worthy cause ⛑️

It's true what you heard! WERE BACK! And we need YOUR help!

We have had an amazing bunch of volunteers come forward to being responders in the Calverstown Area- they're that good they've started training already ❤️

Have you ever wondered what to do in a cardiac arrest situation? A stroke? Maybe it's a neighbour...maybe it's a loved one but chances are it's going to happen at home. While we work alongside the National Ambulance Service we most likely will be first on scene 🚑

A massive thank you to Kilcullen Community First Responders for having us at their training session tonight where we had the pleasure of having a talk from Lawrence and Caolan from National Ambulance Service (NAS) Their knowledge and guidance shared tonight will help our responders make a difference in our community

This year, Ballyshannon National School will celebrate a remarkable milestone — 125 years since it first opened its doors. From 1901 to 2026, our school has been a place of learning, growth and connection for generations of students, families, and staff.

This anniversary marks 125 years of learning, community and achievement, and we are very much looking forward to celebrating this historic occasion together. Following the Mass, there will be an assembly with our school children, after which light refreshments will be served.

As part of our anniversary celebrations, we are inviting members of our community — past and present — to help us reflect on our shared history. We would love to receive:�
● Old photographs
● Memories and stories
● Historical documents or memorabilia
● Reflections on your time connected with the school
