Iveragh United u12 Girls made it 3 wins from 3 games to go top of Division 1 after a very close game vs Mastergeeha FC .
The game kicked off at 12 pm with visitors playing with a light breeze . In goals our goalkeeper Joni O’Donoghue kept her third clean sheet in 3 coping with some long range efforts very well but that was also made possible by some incredible defending in front of her by Aine Cronin (capt) Lauren Sullivan, Alley Shanahan, and Alex Maguire .
In midfield Isabel O Sullivan, Maisie Donovan , Millie McGowan, Millie Fogarty , Jenna Shanahan and Abbey Harty were superb the whole game trying to find a way past an excellent Mastergeeha Midfield and Defence. Up front Emma Sullivan. Grace Fitzgerald and Alena Nassar pressed from the front.

Our goal came from a deflection from a corner and we had Probably 10 corners on the day, which was testament to the pressure that the girls kept imposing on our visitors with all our really hard work on the day.

Match report: Iveragh U15 v Listowel Celtic B

We welcomed Listowel down to Cahersiveen for our first home game of the season. The lads were focused, ready and eager make a strong start in this game they moved the ball well around the pitch with some lovely passing forward into the channels, Listowel responded well with some good defending, but good pressing high up the pitch almost created a goal with a chance being saved on the goal line and another a few moments later with Charlie having his effort also cleared off the line, 0-0 going into halftime.
In the second half both teams worked hard to break the deadlock, but after a few tactical substitutions Kevin o Sullivan broke through and scored a brilliant goal. The team held there nerve and kept playing forward and a few minutes later Karl O Shea was on the scoresheet with a great cross in by Sean og.
Listowel battled hard to get back in the game but our defence held firm.

Iveragh U12 boys hosted Ballyhar on Saturday. We started well and went one up early in the first half. Ballyhar fought back and we're leading 3-2 into the second half. A great finish by Mathew Galvin brought us level. Followed by a second goal from Cillian. A great ball over the top from a goal kick was brought under control by Cillian and calmly finished to complete the hatrick and take the game 5-3.
I would also like to commend the rest of the team for a great performance all round.

The U11s played today against Park A in a highly competitive and exciting game.
From the opening whistle, both teams came out with great energy and intent, attacking from the start and producing an end-to-end game full of skill, effort and commitment. Both defences were excellent and came out on top for large periods, with only a few clear chances created at either end.
Iveragh came close to opening the scoring when a great effort was brilliantly cleared off the line. However, just before half-time, Park broke away with only a minute remaining and finished well to take a 1–0 lead into the break.
The second half continued at 100mph, with both teams battling hard and the defences once again proving difficult to break down. There was huge effort and commitment from every player, with Iveragh creating chances and continuing to press right until the very last seconds in search of an equaliser.
Unfortunately, the equaliser just wouldn’t come, but the whole squad were outstanding from start to finish. The effort, determination and teamwork never dropped, with everyone giving everything until the final whistle.
A fantastic all-round team performance and a game the players can be very proud of. 👏⚽

Iveragh u12 girls unfortunately bowed out of the national cup today at home to Tralee Dynamos who ran out 4.1 winners after a great game in tough conditions.
We took the lead after a Great ball was cleared from defence by Aine Cronin. Jenna Shanahan took control at the edge of the opposition box , she slipped a lovely pass to Summer Hickey our Captain , who slotted a third goal in 3 games.
That was to be the last time we lead the game Dynamos equalised soon after with a lot of pressure and then a second soon followed.
In the second half with us pushing for a goal , Dynamos had a lot of players back and kept one player up for counter-attacks which worked well and got them the 4.1 lead which was hard to break down in very wet conditions. Our Girls never gave up and the last 10 minutes it was attack after attack corner after corner, but we just could not get the ball in the Net. Credit to Dynamos, worthy winners on the day. We wish them the best in the cup. Thanks Chris O Connor for reffing.
