Our CARA - Care and Repair service carries out small jobs for older, vulnerable people living in the Bray and North Wicklow areas.

Typical jobs of this friendly and reliable service include: hedge and grass cutting; minor carpentry; small paint jobs; replacing light bulbs; installing smoke alarms and moving light furniture. Whilst there is no charge for the service, you are required to pay for materials required, and voluntary donations are gratefully accepted.

We’re looking for people living in the Bray area to take part in a focus group exploring local experiences, views and needs around food and nutrition. Discussions take approx. 90 minutes. As a small recognition of your valuable contribution, participants will receive a 👉€10 food voucher 👈

Thank you Bray Municipal District for responding to our request for the removal of the 50kph speed limit sign at the N11 end of the Lower Dargle Road, since the actual speed limit was changed to 30kph some time ago! As a local residents' association, we are looking at speeding, traffic and parking issues in the local area, working in collaboration with local councillors and the council.

We've asked Bray East Councillors Cllr Erika Doyle Cllr Malachái Duddy, Cllr Ian Neary to request that the council replace the bins in the People's Park with stronger and larger new more enclosed bins, as part of the planned refurbishment work in the and hope to hear back soon... 🎒 Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance 2026
With the cost of living continuing to put pressure on household budgets, the expense of getting children ready for school can be difficult for many families.

The Back-to-School Clothing and Footwear Allowance is a once-off, means-tested payment to help eligible families with the cost of school clothing and footwear.

2026 payment rates:
🔹 €160 for each eligible child aged 2 to 11
🔹 €285 for each eligible child aged 12 to 22*

Many eligible families receive the payment automatically. However, if you did not receive an automatic award notification and think you may qualify, you can still apply.
