Borris Innovation Centre The local community is very happy to now move forward with the development of the old Convent site for the use and benefit of the people of Borris-in-Ossory.

The Borris Innovation Project at the former Convent of Mercy property was initiated by the Community in the needs assessment conducted for our 5 year Plan. This Plan was launched back in 2018 at a Function in Rosie O'Grady's, attended by the CEO of Laois County Council & staff of LCDC along with local Councillors and members of the Community and Parish of Borris in Ossory. Since completing the str

ategic plan, the community are very fortunate to have secured the Old Convent builidng and site on a nominal value lease and the Feasibility Study undertaken on the site in 2019/2020 gave us a blueprint to move forward with a staged development at the site. Stage One is currently under construction and will, we hope, offer a Meeting and Celebration space adjacent to the Church and Primary School, and become a real Community Hub. Thank you to all who attended & supported our Party in the Garden on Sunday. A lovely day out for the Community.

We appreciate your continued support to this very important venue and Community space.

Well done to our Musicians, mentors, collaborators and friends. It couldn't be done without all of you.

We look forward to further progress & improvement at the Centre in the coming year & we are delighted to announce that almost €4,000 was raised on the day.
