Our Ladies group enjoyed a brilliant 2 day Spinning Wheel & Weaving Workshop with Johnny Shiels this week here in Solas. Thank you to Heritage Council for the funding & we look forward to Heritage week where we will host an open day with the ladies demonstrating the skills they have learnt.

Bhain ár ngrúpa Mná taitneamh as Ceardlann Roth Sníomhtha & Fíodóireachta dhá lá iontach le Johnny Shiels an tseachtain seo anseo i Solas. Buíochas leis an gComhairle Oidhreachta as an maoiniú & táimid ag tnúth le Seachtain na hOidhreachta áit a mbeidh lá oscailte againn leis na mná ag taispeáint na scileanna atá foghlamtha acu.

'Beach Clean'. Beidh briseadh théis sin má tá daoine ag iarraidh lón a fháil.
Fillfidh muid ar an halla thart ar 1.30 le haghaidh níos mó imeachtaí agus cainteanna.

Join us next Saturday 6th June for a day of fun and recycling with Circus 250 from 10.30am-3pm in Eachléim Hall.
At 12pm a beach clean will take place at Caisleáin Beach.
After the beach clean, attendees will be given a break to get lunch.
We will return to the hall around 1.30pm for more activities and talks.
A free fun filled day for all to enjoy.

Day2 in Donegal our Ladies Group visited GlenColmCille Folk Village where Margaret was the perfect host we began with a tour of Folk Village getting an authentic glimpse into rural life from 1870onwards in glorious sunshine. Followed by a fantastic tapestry workshop in the old school house with Margaret Cunningham

Thosaíomar le turas ar Shráidbhaile Tuaithe ag fáil léargas barántúil ar an saol tuaithe ó 1870 ar aghaidh faoi sholas na gréine. Ina dhiaidh sin, bhí ceardlann thaipéise iontach againn sa sean-scoil le Máire Cunningham.

Our Quilting group had a wonderful day in Donegal, massive thank to Mary E Cassidy inSliabh Liag Experience for the hospitality & our group enjoyed meeting your ladies group. The views from the cliffs were breathtaking , they then visited Studio Donegal where Tristan & Alex gave them a fantastic insight into weaving followed by a tour of Donegal Yarn by Maureen which was fascinating.
