SERVE

SERVE SERVE is a development and volunteering organisation committed to tackling poverty in the majority world.

We strive to do this by working in solidarity, service and partnership with marginalised and oppressed communities, empowering them to tackle the root causes of poverty and injustice. SERVE focuses specifically on programmes and projects that help communities enhance the lives of children and young people and recognises that gender equality is pivotal to achieving justice, equality and sustainable development.

What a powerful journey the TD3 TGAL programme has been.

Last Saturday’s workshops reminded us just how transformative true team communication, reflection, reflexivity, and critical thinking can be when we practise them together.

A huge thank you to our incredible team of volunteers whose energy, openness, and generosity shaped the day. Your willingness to lean into case studies, challenge assumptions, and broaden perspectives is what makes this programme come alive.

Deep gratitude to Martin Galvin (UCC) for his thought‑provoking facilitation and to Jedda for her insightful contributions. Your impact continues to ripple through our conversations and our practice.

Here’s to joined‑up learning, shared growth, and a community that keeps stretching itself.

🌍 How does our Sensory Garden connect to the Sustainable Development Goals? 🌱

In this reel, Jack from SERVE explains how this project is about so much more than building a garden - it’s about creating real impact within our local community. 💚

Our Sensory Garden is rooted in three key Sustainable Development Goals:
📚 Better Education
💚 Good Health & Wellbeing
🤝 Reduced Inequalities

Through this space, we hope to create opportunities for learning, connection, inclusion, reflection, and wellbeing for local young people, families, and the wider community.

This project shows how small local actions can make a meaningful difference and help create stronger, healthier, and more connected communities. 🌿✨

Thank you to everyone supporting this journey so far. Stay tuned as the garden continues to grow!

Walking in solidarity since 2005. 💛

The Flip Flop Appeal is one of SERVE’s longest-standing traditions of solidarity, connecting communities in Ireland with communities across Africa and Asia through compassion, partnership and action.

Each flip flop pin is handmade in Thailand by artisans working with the Good Shepherd Sisters, supporting fair income, dignity and opportunity.

This year, we’re inviting our SERVE community, alumni and supporters to take one small step with a €5 donation to support the appeal.
