Blackrock Haggardstown Community Centre The current Blackrock Community Centre was built over 30 years ago. Thank you for all your support to make this happen. This project is long overdue.

đź“ŤSandy Lane, Blackrock, Louth.
• Connecting people and offering a welcoming friendly, fun and safe space for everyone.

•Catering for adults, children, couples, babies, senior citizens and vulnerable members of our community. Over the past five years we have secured grants, used centre profits, community fundraising, commercial sponsorship and donations to refurbish the interior of the centre. All the feedback confirms our voluntary efforts are worthwhile and we all agree that the centre looks fantastic. As you can see already, we are NOW renovating the car park as a direct response to your requests and it's dangerous condition of late - especially when flooded. It is a very important parking facility and is used by so many members of our community for the Community Centre, Rock Celtic grounds, Blackrock Park and St. Oliver Plunkett's school every day. We are finally able to tackle it with Council funding, our own funds, local businesses contributions and some voluntary efforts. However, it is very expensive project as we have to repair sewage pipes, install a new drainage system, carry out necessary ground works, level, tarmac and line the car park for it to be suitable for use. We also aim to repaint the exterior of the building and boundary wall, install bike racks and disability access. We are short €50,000 to finish the car park. We need your help. Please consider how important this parking amenity is to you, your access to the facilities it serves and your community. Think about how often you use and will continue to use this FREE parking facility and how important it is to make it a safe parking amenity - especially before the dark evenings come in again. Please donate what you can now to help us finish it. Thank you so much from all of us at Blackrock Community Centre. We hope you can continue to support us to provide this facility for the Blackrock Haggardstown community.

We would be grateful if you could support sending team Ireland’s inclusive students to the world championships in Budapest on the 3rd October. It doesn’t matter how small it will be greatly appreciated. We depend completely on fundraising as there are no grants available. Please also share with family and friends and get them to share. Thank you for your support:

Please Be Kind to Our Volunteers
During busy drop-off and pick-up times, we have two volunteers helping to keep the cars moving and make parking as smooth as possible.
They are giving their time to help the community and are not there to disrupt anyone’s busy day.
We know that finding a parking space can sometimes be frustrating, but please treat our volunteers with kindness and respect.
If the car park is full, they are simply doing their best to keep things moving and help people get to their classes on time.
A little patience and courtesy goes a long way. Thank you to our volunteers for helping our community! ❤️

Community Centre Parking – Working Together
We’re very lucky to have such a vibrant Community Centre, offering around 40 classes and a range of services every week. With our community continuing to grow, that also means our car park can become very busy at certain times.
We know parking can sometimes be difficult to navigate, particularly during busy periods, and we appreciate everyone’s patience.
The Centre has invested significantly in developing our car park, and we want to make sure it works as well as possible for everyone who uses it.
Please allow a little extra time when attending your class, especially during busy periods. Thank you for helping us keep things moving smoothly! đźš—
