Mission Development Daughters of Charity Overseas Development The Daughters of Charity are present in 21 African Countries.

The Irish Sisters have worked in Nigeria and Ethiopia since the early 1960’s and now the young Nigerian Sisters have branched out to Ghana and Burkina Faso giving us contacts in all these mission areas. In 2002 the Irish Province opened a new mission in Kenya which has grown rapidly and is training young Kenyan Sisters to work in a variety of projects in their own country for the most marginalised.

Christmas is coming very quickly and all of us are preparing in so many ways to celebrate the Birth of Jesus. Gifts in the tradition of the Magi are an important part of the Christmas season. The gifts from the Magi were important for the family who found themselves in Bethlehem without a place to call their own. This Christmas we ask you to consider giving a gift to your loved ones while helping those who are in great need. Follow the link below to discover some very beautiful gifts this Christmas. https://www.daughtersofcharity.ie/shop
