This Refugee Week, we're reflecting on the theme of Courage.
We see it every day in the people we work alongside: people who have left homes, families and familiar places behind, and who are building new lives, often in the face of uncertainty and challenge.
We see it too in the small acts that help communities grow stronger — a welcome, a conversation, a neighbourly gesture, a willingness to listen and learn from one another.
At a time when discussions about migration can feel increasingly polarised, Refugee Week is a chance to pause and remember that every person has a story, and every story matters.
Courage isn't only found in life's big moments. Sometimes it's found in choosing kindness, extending a welcome, or reaching across differences to make a connection.
That's the kind of courage we're celebrating this Refugee Week.

Period Poverty Campaign 2026
Serve the City was delighted to partner with UPS again this year to support their Period Poverty Campaign. Period poverty occurs when someone can't afford or access suitable period products. UPS wanted to help those in this situation and raise awareness of period poverty in Ireland.
UPS staff generously donated a variety of period products to those most in need. This year, the donations will be distributed through The Light House Dublin Cafe.
This collaboration is a wonderful example of how organisations can come together to make a positive impact on people's lives. Serve the City is proud to support this campaign together with UPS.
