Holly recently organised a fantastic Cars & Coffee event in aid of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, bringing together car enthusiasts to share their love of cars (and coffee!) while raising funds to support people living with dementia and their families. 🚗☕

It's been a busy summer full of fun activities for our Cork-based clients in Bessboro and Ballyvourney Day Care centres.

Whether it was taking part in creative initiatives like the "Sip and Paint" session, relaxing while enjoying a good movie, or sampling the tasty treats provided by special visits by a fish and chip van and an ice cream van, there has been plenty of lovely moments for our clients to enjoy.

If you live in Meath or the surrounding area and are living with dementia, or support someone who is, we'd love to welcome you to our monthly Social Club at Ratoath Community Centre, Ratoath, Co. Meath.

The social club is a friendly gathering where people can drop in for a chat, access information and support, connect with others, and share insights and experiences in a relaxed setting.

Wayne Baron, pictured here with his wife Siobhán, tells us why Budget 2027 is so important for him and others across the country that are affected by dementia.

Wayne lives with Lewy body dementia and attends an Activity Club run by The ASI. One of the key asks of our Pre-Budget Submission 2027 is increased funding for activity clubs to support more people with young-onset and early-stage dementia.

We’re urging the Government to invest over €8 million to ensure people living with dementia and their families are supported.

🚴‍♂️ A Special Thank You to Stuart McMillan! 🚴‍♂️

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Stuart McMillan, who has successfully completed Phase Two of his incredible 3,000km solo cycle around Ireland in support of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Stuart began this remarkable challenge last year, cycling clockwise from Belfast to Tralee. This summer, he returned from Scotland and continued his journey, travelling anticlockwise along the stunning Antrim Coast before joining the Wild Atlantic Way and finishing in Di**le.

Following the completion of this epic challenge, Niamh and Melissa from The Alzheimer Society of Ireland were delighted to welcome Stuart to Rosemary Day Care Centre in Tralee to celebrate his achievement.

We are immensely grateful to Stuart for his outstanding fundraising efforts and for helping to raise awareness of dementia and the supports available to those affected. 💜

This week marks the first anniversary of our Naas Activity Club for people living with Young Onset or early stage dementia.🎉

Over the past year, we've shared so many incredible moments, enjoyed fun and meaningful activities, and created lasting memories together. Most importantly, we've had the privilege of watching genuine friendships blossom and a supportive community grow.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey, our members, families, volunteers, and supporters. Your warmth, laughter, and kindness have made this club such a special place.

Here's to celebrating everything we've achieved together and to many more wonderful memories in the years ahead!
