Belturbet Men’s Shed – Woodcarving Summer School July 2026 for 18-25 year-olds
Are you 18-25 years old and interested in trying woodcarving? No experience is necessary and tools and wood are provided. Belturbet Men’s Shed and Cavan County Local Development’s social inclusion programme SICAP are holding a Woodcarving Summer School in Belturbet Men’s Shed in July with tutor Joey Burns – see examples of Joey's work. The dates are as follows:
Monday 29th June 10am-2pm – Registration; Manual handling and health & safety training (compulsory)
Workshops 2pm-4.30pm on Tues 7th; Wed 8th, Tues 14th,Wed 15th, Tues 21st, Wed 22nd, Tues 28th, Wed 29th
Its recommended that participants are available for all workshops to complete their woodcarving.
The cost for the Summer School is €30 to cover insurance and refreshments – contact Sandy if you would like to apply for assistance with this.
