Thank you to all the TY students who helped putting up Halloween decorations. Thanks to all who filled our Halloween bags with leaves and placed them beautifully by the trees in the orchard. It was a brilliant way to reuse all the fallen leaves

The Dementia-Friendly Sensory garden is open. Call up for a stroll but keep your social distance

Come and visit us!! This garden is intended to be a sanctuary for the whole community. It is not private and you don’t pay to come in. Nice place for a walk right now but remember to practise your social distancing at all times when out and about.

The Tearmann Community Garden is a landscaped space over a few acres with a rockery, an orchard, a wildlife pond, walkways and pathways and flowers and trees. Around the garden you will see hand-painted signs that express the ideas of the visionary woman who had the idea for a sanctuary garden for Baltinglass.

Sr. Mary Carmody was inspired by sanctuary gardens in California that were safe havens, nature reserves and spiritual spaces. Baltinglass is fortunate to have this space. We will be providing maps to help people to find the garden and to come and experience it.

Visit and be careful.
