Congratulations to all our brilliant club members who competed at the 123.ie All-Ireland Schools Championships over the weekend. The club was well represented, and every athlete did amazingly well and a fantastic achievement to compete with the very best in the country👏👏

A special mention goes to Ruby Cunnane representing the Mercy College, Sligo who finished 3rd in the Intermediate girls 75m hurdles🎉🎉

Well done Ruby and congratulations to all our athletes on a fantastic weekend of competition.
As a club we are so very proud of you all 🤩🤩

Winning gold and silver is already a massive achievement, but being named Young Sports Person of the Year for the Dwarf Sports Association UK is really special recognition. It sounds like she had an unforgettable weekend and we at corran ac are incredibly proud of her.
A gold in the 10m sprint and silver in the 20m shows serious speed and consistency under pressure, especially at a big event like the UK Games. And awards like that reflect not just performance, but attitude, effort, and sportsmanship too.
Well done Luna.

A fantastic few weeks of athletics for our corran athletes.
Huge congratulations to all our U9–U11 boys and girls who represented the club so brilliantly at the Sligo Children’s Games on Fri 8th May. 👏👏

We are so proud of every child who took part — whether you came home with a medal or not, you all showed great effort, teamwork and sportsmanship. For many, just getting out on the track and giving it a go is a huge achievement in itself.

A special well done to all our medal winners also, a fantastic reward for your hard work and determination. 🥇🥈🥉
You now qualified to the Connacht children’s Games on the 6th June🎉🎉

And a massive thank you to all the parents and families for bringing the children along, cheering them on and supporting the club. Events like these wouldn’t happen without you 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️

Next up was our u12 to u18 and senior event which took place on Fri 15th may in atu Sligo.
Corran was well represented In these events and plenty of medals were achieved. Well done to all who took part- trying new events, improving on times or achieving a medal. We are very proud of you all and you represent our club with the greatest attitude, respect and determination.
These events are about more than medals, they are about building confidence, determination, friendships, and a love for sport.
Again many thanks to all the families for the ongoing support for the kids and the club.

🏅 Well done to all the athletes representing their schools at the Connacht Schools Finals in Athlone on May 19th. Corran AC was very well represented with some excellent performances and results on the day 👏👏 a testament to their hard work and dedication to their training and sport all year.

A special mention to Sally, Melissa & Abbie who were part of the St Attracta’s Minor Girls team that won the Minor Girls Shield 🏆 — awarded to the school team that placed highest in their competition at the Connacht Finals. This was a historic achievement and the first time St Attracta’s has won this prestigious accolade at minor level. Well done girls 👏👏

Next stop is Tullamore over the June Bank Holiday weekend for the prestigious All Ireland Schools Track & Field Championships.

Corran Ac extends deepest sympathy to John, Noelle, Kieran, Gary, Ann and Niamh on the sad passing of Betty. Deepest sympathy the extended Gilligan and Conlon families.

Betty & John played a huge role in the early days of Corran Ac. Ensuring the longterm continuity and viability of the Club to this present day.

Ben Clavin competed in the B 800m at the IMC in Clonmel this afternoon and came away with a 1.53.16 PB.👏👏
Looking forward to next weekend at the British Milers meet at Mary Peters track in Belfast where once again PBs will be broken.
