📅 BIG FIELD DAY – FULL TIME SHEET! 🚜🎶🐶

Here’s how the day is shaping up for the Castlerahan Vintage Club Big Field Day this Sunday! 👇

From the gates opening at 9AM, there’ll be plenty happening right through the day — tractor & vintage car runs, PTO dyno, tyre fitting challenge, tractor balancing, Irish dancers, dog show, our big tractor raffle draw and live music from 5:30PM! 🎵

🚜 Exhibitors: Gates will also be open from 2PM on Saturday for anyone wishing to bring exhibits in the night before. Security will be provided overnight for peace of mind.

🎟️ Tractor raffle tickets close at 3PM Sunday — so don’t leave it too late!

Save the timetable, send it to the group chat and get yourselves ready for a serious day out! 💙

🌱 Introducing Castlerahan Growers Society
Castlerahan Growers is a new gardening community for Castlerahan and the surrounding areas, and everyone is welcome to join.

This is a space for people of all experience levels - from complete beginners to lifelong gardeners. The aim is to bring people together to share knowledge, swap seeds and cuttings, exchange ideas, and learn from one another across generations.

We hope this group will facilitate the organisation of informal meet-ups like coffee chats, garden visits, and small community projects, with both online and in-person participation depending on what suits members best.

Looking ahead, we’d love to work towards developing a community garden for everyone to enjoy and get involved in.

If you’re interested in gardening, growing your own food, or just connecting with others locally, you’re very welcome to join.

Hi everyone ☺️

Castlerahan NS would like to sincerely thank Paul Farrelly from Oldcastle, who succeeded in an incredible walk from Mizen to Malin Head. What an achievement!

Paul very kindly offered to split the proceeds of his fundraiser between Knocktemple N.S., Gilson NS Oldcastle, and our school in Castlerahan.

Presenting the cheque for €7,800 to Prinicpal Deirdre Clinton, on behalf of their camera shy dad are, Oscar and Maisie.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul from the bottom of hearts for this wonderful donation. Your hard work and dedication certainly inspire us 🙌
The funds will be put to great use, helping out the Autism classes and providing the children with much needed resources and support.

The creativity was on full display today as 6th class swapped their schoolbags for some very unusual alternatives! From laundry baskets and suitcases to tractors there was no shortage of imagination.🤔🧺🛒🚜
