The Life Centre Cherry Orchard

The Life Centre Cherry Orchard Early School Leavers 12-16 years in Dublin 10 The Life Centre is an early school leaver's project for 12-16 year olds excluded from mainstream education.

The project is located in a council house in the centre of Cherry Orchard Community, in close proximity to where the young people live. The project aims to reduce marginalisation of young people who are outside the mainstream education structure by providing a holistic education and day programme which includes one-to-one tuition, small group work and an afternoon diversion programme. The project

works closely with families and appropriate external support agencies to ensure that the young person's educational, social and emotional needs are met. It has been widely acknowledged by agencies and people in the community that were it not for The Life Centre, these young people would have nowhere to go during the day and would not receive an education.
