What a journey it’s been! Over the last few years, I’ve had the privilege of working on the Ballinamore Youth Action Project, an experience that has given me so much more than I ever expected! ✨️
From certified training opportunities and upskilling courses to the unforgettable AMBIT study trip to Boston and Washington, a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, it’s been nothing short of amazing. I’ve gained so much experience and have grown in ways I never imagined. The opportunities and learning is something I will carry with me for life. 🙌💭
I’ve also been so lucky to connect with incredible people through Youth Work Ireland North Connaught, my funders from the International Fund for Ireland and our partner organisations on both sides of the border, many of whom have become lifelong friends. The sense of community, collaboration, and support has made every step of the way so meaningful.
I can only hope all the good relations and cross border activities, workshops and connections will have a lasting impact on all who was involved..🕊
But what makes me most proud is every single young person who walked through our doors. Watching them grow, challenge themselves, and succeed has been the biggest reward. Ballinamore has been an absolute dream to work in, the young people here are truly something special, and I feel very lucky to have been part of their journey. 💘
Grateful for all that these past few years have brought, and excited for what’s still to come. 💫
Unfortunately funding doesnt last forever but we made the most of what we had and done a good job of it too! So that's all from me folks, best wishes to the Ballinamore community for the future, a bright and peaceful future..🫶🍀
