What a journey it’s been! Over the last few years, I’ve had the privilege of working on the Ballinamore Youth Action Project, an experience that has given me so much more than I ever expected! ✨️

From certified training opportunities and upskilling courses to the unforgettable AMBIT study trip to Boston and Washington, a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, it’s been nothing short of amazing. I’ve gained so much experience and have grown in ways I never imagined. The opportunities and learning is something I will carry with me for life. 🙌💭

I’ve also been so lucky to connect with incredible people through Youth Work Ireland North Connaught, my funders from the International Fund for Ireland and our partner organisations on both sides of the border, many of whom have become lifelong friends. The sense of community, collaboration, and support has made every step of the way so meaningful.

I can only hope all the good relations and cross border activities, workshops and connections will have a lasting impact on all who was involved..🕊

But what makes me most proud is every single young person who walked through our doors. Watching them grow, challenge themselves, and succeed has been the biggest reward. Ballinamore has been an absolute dream to work in, the young people here are truly something special, and I feel very lucky to have been part of their journey. 💘

Grateful for all that these past few years have brought, and excited for what’s still to come. 💫

Unfortunately funding doesnt last forever but we made the most of what we had and done a good job of it too! So that's all from me folks, best wishes to the Ballinamore community for the future, a bright and peaceful future..🫶🍀

Morning everyone! ✨️

Not a pleasant sight to arrive to today outside our youth centre..

We would ask that people would refrain from leaving their litter behind them, we are aware there are no bin facilities around the Junction and unfortunately we will be removing the bin pictured today as it was only a short term solution for an event that was being held at the centre a few weeks back. There also seems to be some household rubbish dumped here too which is concerning.

There is a public bin along the main road of the carpark that can be used, and I'm sure Square Coffee supplies their own bin outside their stall when here at the weekends.

It's important to bring your rubbish home or dispose of appropriately, look after the environment and look after your community! 🚮🌳

What a lovely turn out for our final Tea & Talk Tuesday! We didn't get to picture everyone, but grateful for those who aren't camera shy! ☕️💬

It was great to see some of the lovely people I have connected with over the last few years in Staisiún Óige -Youth center and for everyone to get the chance for good chat before I part ways with Ballinamore Youth Action Project. Throughly enjoyed my time in Leitrim but new experiences are calling! ✨️

Thank you everyone for coming today, lots of tea, coffee and chats! We had some cyclists and messers appear..🤭👂

We showcased our timeline of BYAP through picture collages on the wall and through our art work! We even done some light art work on peace building thoughts which we will bring together for a master piece to leave our mark behind..🖍🎨
