NW Roscommon CDP LTD was set up in 2003 to deliver the government funded Community Development Programme in the North West Roscommon Area. In 2011 the Community Development Programme was transfered to RIDC (Roscommon Integrated Development Company) but still operates from its resource centre in Ballaghaderreen. Today the company employs 25 staff and sponsors 2 FAS projects: The Community Employm

ent Scheme and Roscommon Jobs Club. The County Roscommon Jobs Club is sponsored by the CDP and provides a drop in centre with internet acces and local papers for job seeking purposes. The Jobs club assist in preparing CVs, improving interview skills and identifying job opportunities.The Jobs Club runs short part-time courses in job seeking skills and can be contacted on 094-9862373/ email- [email protected]

The NW Roscommon CDP sponsors the CE scheme which is funded by FAS. The purpose of this scheme is to provide a service to local community/development organisations and to enable those employed on the schemeto equip themselves with the skills and qualifications needed to obtain further employment. In August 2010 the CDP moved to the Community Enterprise Centre in The Shambles.Here the 3 projects are under the one roof as well as the local Business Manager.We now offer Training Courses,Outreach Clinics and In-house Services.
