We want to dispel the myth of my big fat gypsy wedding that all travellers are rich and excessive. We want to highlight achievement, success stories, positive events in the travelling community. The rightwards, anti-Traveller shift of the government continues apace.
First (with three new Ministers-of-State) there was absolutely no need to even appoint a junior minister for Traveller accommodation (so the Traveller homelessness and accommodation crisis will continue)
Now they cannot be bothered to re-appoint re-elected Senator Eileen Flynn to continue her important work as the Chair of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Traveller Issues.
The signals are clear, and they are there for all to see
