Murals painted by Community Service participants at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Athy – under the guidance of tutors Olivia Smith and Karim Seddiq – as part of The Alternative Project Athy in collaboration with and funding from Kildare County CouncilThe Kildare County Council.
Referred through the Kildare Probation Team, The Probation Service, The Courts Service of Ireland and Department of Justice Ireland, and supported by Kildare and Wicklow ETB Training Services, participants gave back to their community by improving the surroundings and creating uplifting artwork on-site.

We are delighted to join forces with our partners for school midterm activities in the Harbour area, Athy, as part of our growing collaboration with our community , Sláintecare AthyKildare Sports Partnership,Oaklee,County Kildare Leader Partnership CLG.,Empowering Communities Athy, the support of Kildare and Wicklow ETB Training Services, Irish Penal Reform Trust,Irish Red Cross,.ie,Kildare County Council,Department of Justice Ireland these fosters creativity, inclusion, and personal development, while further strengthening community partnerships in the Athy area. Through this joint effort, we aim to provide new opportunities for learning, engagement, and positive change.
We look forward to supporting all participants and working closely with our valued partners to make a lasting impact in our community.
