Athlone Toastmasters is a non-profit educational club promoting public speaking and leadership skills. Toastmasters Athlone. Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Meetings are held on 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month from September to June in The Bounty, Dubarry Park, Coosan Road, Athlone, N37 K0T9 and online. Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike can benefit from coming along to Athlone Toastmasters. Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your family, Toastmasters can help you do it better.

You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason; to become better communicators. Members often say they came to learn to speak in public and stayed for the support and friendships. Toastmasters Athlone are a very welcoming club open to all over 18 yrs. We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. The meetings are hybrid in person at the Creggan Court Hotel Athlone and Via Zoom. Feel free to contact us for more information or just turn up.

Great meeting on 26th May, as usual -- super set of speeches by Lorraine, Siobhan & Sarah. Well done to Eden on taking on the first role (of Timer) & doing it extremely well. Also, all the role holders on your active participation.

We had election of officers, with the following elected for July/Sept '26 - June '27 term.

VP Public Relations - Monica Medina
Secretary - John Dolan
Treasurer - Sarah Watson
SAA/Failte Officer - Joseph Connor

Request everyone to please update your Pathways speech progress in toastmasters.org - personally we get great learnings by doing that, simultaneously we help the club to keep progressing on the Distinguished journey.

Thanks all who were able to make it & for your active participation. Great ice breaker speech by Suman & Compelling blog speech by Donal. All role holders have done a great job as usual & couple of guests with one potential member.

Our next meeting on 26th May is our AGM (+ semblance of normal meeting also) to elect the new committee for July/Sept. '26 to June '27 sessions.

Nominations are still open.

Thanks all for your active participation in making this meeting on 28th April a success.

Great work by Louise (Toastmaster), Avinash (Timer), Cathy (TopicsMaster), Sarah (Grammarian) & Terrie (GE).

Great speeches by Michael, Edward & Monica and equally good evaluations by Helen, Donal, & hopefully good from yours truly.

As mentioned by Monica please continue taking roles and doing speeches & we will continue to evolve to become a better version of ourselves in our communication & leadership journey..

Also, please consider to nominate yourself or another member (with their consent) for the 7 committee roles mentioned in the previous message. Would be great to get nominations for all the 7 roles as the AGM is planned for 26th May to confirm & elect our new committee 🙌🤝

Thanks all for another great meeting. Congratulations to Avinash for a great ice-breaker speech & Suman for stepping up to do the Timer role. Terrie for great set of varied topics. Great speeches by Donal & Louise & equally well evaluations by Sarah, Cathy & Edward. Excellent Grammarian & General Evaluator reports by Lorraine & Siobhan respectively. We all are catalysts in each others growth when we come together to create these magical meetings.

As usual let's keep experimenting with various roles and slowly but surely keep coming out of our comfort zones.

Another great meeting on 24th March - Meeting #13 of the 2025-26 Athlone Toastmasters season. Highlight was the Table Topics speeches by our guests Nettie and Kaka who did a great job. And Suman looking to become a new member.
Of course, great prepared speeches by Lorraine, Nithin & Terrie and equally great evaluations by Donal, Monica M & Louise respectively.

Amazing set of topics by Maryna, Great GE role done by Helen, Grammarian role by Edward W with the word of meeting _Ascend_. Timer role done by Avinash for the first time 🙌 And, of course, as usual professional rendering of Toastmaster role by Siobhan.

Congratulations 🎉 to Siobhan Fitzgerald for winning Division F International speech contest today & will fly Athlone Toastmasters, Area 9 (4 clubs) & Division F's (17 clubs) flag high in the District 71 contest which will have 8 other Division winners represented !!

We, in Athlone Toastmasters, are rooting for Siobhan to continue progressing further ahead - onwards & upwards 🎉🎊💯✅
