CEOLTÓIRÍ Á LORG — TÁIMID AG EARCÚ!

An ceoltóir thú a bhfuil uaireanta breise uait ag múineadh agus ag déanamh ceoil le leanaí agus daoine óga?

D'fhéadfadh an deis seo a bheith oiriúnach duitse.
Tá Music Generation Chontae na Gaillimhe ag iarraidh cur lenár bhfoireann Oideoirí Ceoil de réir mar a leanann ár gcláir de bheith ag fás ar fud an chontae.

Ba bhreá linn cloisteáil ó cheoltóirí, taibheoirí agus teagascóirí ceoil a bhíonn ag plé le gach cineál uirlise, stíle agus seánra agus ar spéis leo a gcuid scileanna agus taithí ceoil a roinnt le leanaí agus daoine óga.

Ba mhaith linn cloisteáil go háirithe ó:

• Drumadóirí agus ceoltóirí cnaguirlisí
• Ceoltóirí iluirlisí
• Ceoltóirí atá lonnaithe i gConamara, sa Ghaeltacht agus ar na hOileáin
• Ceoltóirí ar spéis leo oibriú le leanaí agus daoine óga a bhfuil riachtanais bhreise acu
• Ceoltóirí ar spéis leo oibriú i suíomhanna Foghlama agus Cúraim na Luath-Óige
• Teagascóirí uirlise agus gutha i ngach seánra
• Ceoltóirí atá ina gcónaí ar theorainneacha Chontae na Gaillimhe agus sa cheantar máguaird — bíodh siad lonnaithe i nGaillimh nó i gcontae comharsanachta — ar spéis leo oibriú i gContae na Gaillimhe.

Bíonn ár gcláir ar siúl i scoileanna, Moil Cheoil, suíomhanna pobail, seirbhísí óige agus in ionaid eile ar fud Chontae na Gaillimhe, agus tá deiseanna ar fáil i rith an lae, um thráthnóna agus ag an deireadh seachtaine.

Más ceoltóir thú a bhfuil na scileanna cuí, an díograis agus an spéis agat in obair le leanaí agus daoine óga, ba bhreá linn cloisteáil uait.
Cuirimid deiseanna oiliúna agus forbartha gairmiúla ar fáil freisin chun tacú lenár nOideoirí Ceoil agus iad ag tosú amach agus ag leanúint orthu ag forbairt ina ról.

Cibé acu atá cúpla uair an chloig breise á lorg agat taobh leis an obair cheoil atá ar bun agat cheana féin, nó ar mhaith leat a bheith níos rannpháirtí in oideachas ceoil taibhithe, ba bhreá linn cloisteáil uait.

Imagine growing up in Ireland and, as a young aspiring performer, getting together with friends to play music, dreaming that one day your band's songs might be heard by millions.
Imagine later becoming one of the biggest rock bands in the world, yet never forgetting what it took to begin that journey and the opportunities and joy that music can bring to the lives of young people.
That is exactly what U2 has done.

In 2010, through The Ireland Funds, U2 helped establish Music Generation, investing in the belief that every child and young person should have access to high-quality performance music education, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Seventeen years later, that vision now helps approximately 130,000 children and young people across Ireland each year access opportunities to learn, create, perform and belong through music.
U2 have done it again...
On Friday evening last (June 19th), together with their partners, an additional €10 million has been pledged to Music Generation, with €5 million coming from U2 and €5 million from The Ireland Funds, alongside a corresponding funding commitment from the Government through the Department of Education and Youth.
Their renewed support is another powerful vote of confidence in the transformative impact of music education and in the potential of the next generation of young musicians, singers, songwriters and performers.

On behalf of the thousands of children and young people in Galway County whose lives have been enriched through Music Generation, thank you to U2 for continuing to invest in the power of music and the power of young people.
Thanks also to Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD, Minister for Education and Youth Hildegarde Naughton TD, and members of Government for delivering on the commitment outlined in the Programme for Government, and to The Ireland Funds for their steadfast support of the Music Generation initiative.

We're very fortunate to have an exceptional team of Musician Educators working with us, many of whom are also highly accomplished performers.
Two such musicians, Niall Teague and Pádraic Joyce, launch their new album tomorrow night at the Mick Lally Theatre in Galway City.
As tutors, they inspire young musicians every week through their teaching and mentorship. As performers, they are among the finest around. Blending rich vocal harmonies, masterful musicianship and beautifully crafted songs, they have earned a reputation as one of the most compelling musical duos on the Irish folk and Americana scene.
If you're looking for a great night of live music, this is one not to miss. These guys are the real deal.
We wish Niall and Pádraic every success with the album launch.

To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg 2026, we hosted a wonderful Music For All workshop at LimeLight Creative Centre for 35 young performers. It was a truly fabulous day filled with music, creativity, and connection.
We are proud to facilitate our Music For All Hub each week at the same venue, providing inclusive music-making opportunities for children and young people with additional needs.
Featured in the accompanying video is Thomas, one of the talented young musicians who attends the Hub every week. We first met Thomas through our work at Claregalway Educate Together National School, and he has since progressed to studying piano at our Music Hub in Oranmore.
He is a star in the making!
If you know a child or young person with additional needs who might enjoy taking part, we would be delighted to welcome them as this programme continues to expand. Our Music For All Hub runs weekly from September to May and offers a supportive, inclusive environment where young people can explore and develop their musical talents.
We also also deliver programmes in partnership with Down Syndrome Ireland, Galway and the Brothers of Charity at this facility. It is work that we value enormously and feel privileged to be part of.

Sincere thanks to all at LimeLight Creative Centre for the ongoing hospitality & support.
