I am delighted to announce that our President Sheila Driver has been chosen as the County Wicklow Community Games winner of the Cairn Community Games Volunteer Awards for 2024.
Well done to all our nominations and congratulations to Sheila for being selected. 🎉🎉

The official presentation will take place on November 30th in the Mullingar Park Hotel. All are welcome to attend.

Community Games is an area based organisation meaning you represent your local area when participating in activities.
Glenealy-Ashford is a long established Community Games Area with wide ranging and defined boundaries. To find out if you live within the defined Ashford-Glenealy area please message this page directly advising us of your full address inclusive of Eircode and we will confirm your status.

Once we have confirmed that you are living within the Ashford-Glenealy Area all you have to do is complete our Participant Consent Form and submit it to our Area Secretary with proof of address and your child's date of birth. Established in 1967 The Community Games organisation is dedicated to promoting inclusivity, participation, camaraderie, and healthy competition for children in sports and artistic events. With a Board of 10 Trustees and 11 staff members the Community Games is a Volunteer lead organisation.

The National Governing Body provides opportunities for children aged from 6 to 16 to take part in over 40 different events from Art to Swimming. Community Games is supported by Sport Ireland and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media.

With an ethos of volunteer empowerment, dedicated individuals from diverse communities all over Ireland invest their time and expertise to drive the success of the Cairn Community Games Team. Volunteers are provided with training and resources to ensure they are equipped with the skills and support needed to make a meaningful impact.
