We have an ongoing issue with some cars being left for very long periods in visitor parking spaces, in some cases appearing to be effectively abandoned.

At the same time, we know parking is limited in the estate, especially in the older part where many houses have only one designated space. For that reason, residents should still be allowed to use visitor parking.

The question is whether there should be a limit on how long a car can stay continuously in the same visitor space.

Which option would you prefer?

1. Maximum 24 hours
2. Maximum 48 hours
3. No fixed time limit, but action can be taken where a vehicle appears abandoned or unused for a long period

In all cases, the owner would be warned before any enforcement action is considered.

For the number of years we have been trying to keep the willow at the entrance to the estate straight. We tried various support methods but few weeks or months after each attempt it was back on it's side. The reason is that the soil layer is to shallow to support the root system and at the same time dense crown makes it prone to wind force. We intend to transplant that tree. We can donate it to Tidy Towns but first wanted to check with you. Let us know if you know the area in the estate where this tree can fit or if you would like to take it for your back garden.

Please note that plants growing in front of the houses (i.e. between houses and footpaths) are a private property of the house owners and therefore, maintenance of same is outside of OMC's remit. Please keep these plants trimmed so they do not encroach on the footpaths and there is enough room for a pram or wheelchair to pass.

A quick update following an AGM

- Management fees are reducing slightly. This is due to successful debt recovery and resulting surplus in the OMC account. Please not that this is temporary as we expect to collect all recoverable debt whiting next few years.

- It was decided to not go ahead with landscaping works at the Millbourne Grove

- It was decided to continue debt recovery in current manner

Despite removal of dead and overgrown shrubs, new planting and continuous maintenance over the last 3 seasons the beds at the Millbourne Grove still do not look good. The conclusion is that new plant will not thrive there due to combination of shade and physical constrains. One of next possible solution is to remove the shrubs and root barrier and cover these beds with grass turf. However, this will come at considerable cost and will also focus on only one part of the estate. Rather than BoD making this decision on their own we will put that to the vote at December AGM so the homeowners can decided on their own how the management fees are spent.

It is the second year of RPSG (https://rpsg.ie/) providing maintenance services in the estate. Despite some teething issues RPSG is by far the best contractor out of 4 No. we so far had in the estate. We closely work with RPSG, monitor adherence to works schedule and also check the quality of services but if you have any comments, suggestion, etc, please contact us either via Messenger or at [email protected]
