IMPORTANT UPDATE: The baby items have been recovered by their rightful owner who was a completely innocent party in relation to the dumping which was done by an ex-boyfriend. The community group have been in touch with the owner and wish them well.
As a small group of volunteers working very hard to keep our community clean and safe for residents and visitors we will continue to take appropriate action when it comes to dumping which is a constant issue with large bags of rubbish being dumped in the canal and car park on several occasions recently.

There was a serious case of illegal dumping at the car park in Stonepark last night (May 29th/30th). THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Identifying documents and information have been found and will be passed to Longford Co Co. We will ensure that this matter is pursued to a conclusion - hopefully a prosecution. We ask everyone in Stonepark and surrounding areas to be extra vigilant and report anything you see to a member of the community group or Longford Co Co until such time as CCTV cameras are installed - this is in progress.

The death has occured of
Dariusz Kasprzak, Canal Green , Longford.

Passed away peacefully on 19th December 2025 at the Midlands Regional hospital , Mullingar .

Dariusz will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family , wife Isabela, daughter Patrycja, son Patryk, relatives and friends .

May he rest in Peace.

Mass of the Resurrection on Monday 29th December in St.Mel’s Cathedral at 11.00am, followed by interment of ashes in Ballymacormack cemetery .
