Supporting our friends in Avenue Q by Slice ! 🎭

We’re delighted to support some very familiar and talented faces from our own society taking to the stage in Avenue Q this week! ❤️

Running for just 3 nights - Thursday, Friday & Saturday at Dunamaise Arts Centre, and with limited tickets remaining, don’t wait until you hear how outrageously good the reviews are! 👀

New to Avenue Q?
Yes, there are puppets. No, it is definitely NOT a children’s show! 😂

Expect outrageous humour, brilliant songs and a surprisingly heartfelt story about the absolute chaos of trying to figure out adulthood.

🎟️ Limited tickets left - get yours before they’re gone!

After all… everything is only “For Now.” 😉

MEN OF PORTLAOISE… WE NEED YOU! 🧟‍♂️
Fancy joining the Portlaoise Musical Society for our 2026 production of Young Frankenstein? ⚡️
We’re looking for men to join our ensemble — and before you panic… NO, you do not need to be a top-class singer or dancer! 😂
Can you hold a tune? Great.
Can you dance? Even better.
Can you confidently pretend you can dance? PERFECT. 👏
Our ensemble is all about having fun, meeting new people, making friends and being part of the madness that is musical theatre. Rehearsals are as much about the social craic, laughs and friendships as they are about putting on a great show.
Whether you’ve performed before or have never stepped foot on a stage, we’d love to hear from you!
🧟‍♂️ Come for the singing. Stay for the craic.

🗞️⚡️ BREAKING NEWS FROM TRANSYLVANIA ⚡️🗞️

Authorities have confirmed the arrival of Inspector Hans Kemp…

Portlaoise Musical Society is delighted to announce that Paul Browne will join the cast of Young Frankenstein as the determined, distinguished and delightfully one-legged Inspector Hans Kemp! 👏

We’re thrilled to welcome Paul back to the society and can’t wait to see him bring this iconic character to life on the Dunamaise stage.

With this latest development, sources close to Castle Frankenstein can confirm that…

💚 INTRODUCING YOUR YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN CAST💚

After electrifying auditions and just the right amount of chaos… we are DELIGHTED to finally reveal the cast of Young Frankenstein 2026! 👀⚡️

To everyone who auditioned — thank you for bringing the energy, talent, madness and laughs. The standard this year was frighteningly good and our production team had an incredibly difficult job making decisions 🧪

Now… it’s time to meet the wonderfully weird souls bringing Transylvania to Portlaoise in 2026…🕺⚡️
