🌿 HKM Seberang Bersatu – Juru Seberang, Belitung
What started as a small community initiative has grown into a powerful movement for nature and people.

Over the past decade, we’ve restored 200 hectares of mangrove forest on former tin mining land — all through local effort and spirit. Every year, more than 20,000 seedlings are planted and shared by the community.

But it’s more than just trees.
We’re creating livelihoods too — from soft-shell crab and shellfish farming to turning mangrove waste into coco briquettes. Even plastic waste gets a second life through pyrolysis, becoming alternative fuel.

And we’re protecting wildlife: two Brahminy kites were released back into the wild in 2021, a proud milestone for conservation here.

This place is now part of the Belitung Mangrove Park, a recognized geosite under the UNESCO Global Geopark.

💚 It’s all about healing the land, empowering people, and creating something meaningful — together.
