With our Orang Utan Coffee Project we take responsibility for a transparent, fair and sustainable coffee production - from the crop till the roaster - for the protection of orangutans and the tropical rainforest, their natural habitat as well as for a growing community of over 350 smallholder farmers in Gayo Highland / Aceh - Northern Sumatra, Indonesia. Our Project combines environmental and animal protection with the future security of livelihood of independent coffee farmers.

Meet Sukarame — one of our origin villages in Bener Meriah, Aceh. 🌋

Here, 145+ smallholder farmers work family-owned plots across 80.5 hectares, at altitudes of 1,100–1,500 masl — where volcanic soil from Mount Pantan Terong makes all the difference in the cup.

We’ve been partnering with this community since 2020, sourcing from farms that have sustained families and local economies for generations.
