IVAO Indonesia Division invites you to take part in a dedicated VFR flight experience across the eastern Indonesian archipelago, designed to enhance your navigation skills and light aircraft handling in a realistic low-altitude environment.

Continuing the Bali–Nusra Under 10K series, Part Three takes pilots deeper into Flores, following a scenic yet demanding eastbound coastal route.

Departing from Labuan Bajo, you will navigate along rugged coastlines, rolling terrain, and open sea segments. This flight emphasizes precise VFR navigation, terrain awareness, and smooth aircraft control below 10,000 feet.

Compared to previous legs, this route introduces longer stretches with fewer visual references, requiring stronger situational awareness and navigation discipline throughout the journey.

The arrival into Maumere presents additional challenges, with surrounding terrain and approach alignment demanding careful planning and stable handling.

This May 1st, we are bringing a unique twist to the holiday Join the VFR Flight Event as we connect the iconic trio of Central Java: Ahmad Yani, Adisutjipto, and Adisumarmo.

The VFR Challenge

It’s time to get back to basics. We invite all pilots to test their navigation skills across these scenic routes using visual references and precision.

Mission 1: WAHS (Semarang) ➡️ WAHQ (Solo)

Mission 2: WAHH (Yogyakarta) ➡️ WAHQ (Solo)

Flight Procedures:

📍 All participating pilots are expected to follow the available VFR Enroute Charts.

📍 Please maintain a safe separation from other traffic at all times to ensure a smooth flow.

📍 Use General Aviation / Light Aircraft (Category A or B).

IVAO Indonesia is proud to announce a practical exam for the Aerodrome Control (ADC) rating.

We invite all pilots to join us and help our candidate demonstrate his skills in managing a busy and complex environment.

This session marks a significant milestone for Fakhri as he steps up for his second attempt at the ADC rating. In his previous attempt, Fakhri unfortunately did not achieve the required passing score. However, he has since spent significant time evaluating his mistakes and improving his skills. We are all rooting for Fakhri to perform at his best this time. Let’s help him turn his previous setback into a successful result and achieve the satisfying score he has been working for!

Please join us in congratulating .prttama_ on his latest achievement: Aerodrome Controller (ADC) .

Following the success in Jakarta, IVAO Indonesia Regional Surabaya also held a Ramadhan Iftar and "Coaching Clinic" today. 🌙✨

The *Coaching Clinic" was truly a special moment for our community. Led by as the trainer, we had an insightful session diving deep into the Rules & Regulations for both Pilots and ATC's on the IVAO network.

Once again, we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who attended and brought such incredible energy to the event. Your presence and enthusiasm made this gathering a huge success.

​IVAO Indonesia is proud to announce two upcoming Aerodrome Control (ADC) Practical Exams. While we observe this holy month, we invite all pilots to fill the virtual skies and help our candidates demonstrate their skills in managing a busy and complex environment.

We have specifically scheduled these sessions at 14:00z (21:00 WIB) to ensure everyone has ample time to complete their Tarawih prayers and gather with family before jumping back into the cockpit. It’s the perfect time for some post-Tarawih flying! ✈️✨
