Powering Progress: Advancing Sustainable Data Centers in Indonesia
The Indonesia Data Center Providers Organization (IDPRO) proudly hosted its 3rd Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the “Sustainable Data Center Index by IDPRO” at Wisma BNI, Jakarta, 5th November 2025 — a pivotal step forward in shaping the nation’s green digital infrastructure.
Building on the momentum of our 2022 White Paper, “Green Data Center,” this FGD was more than a roundtable — it was a collaborative effort to co-design the standards, benchmarks, and strategies that will define the future of sustainable digital ecosystems in Indonesia.
We were honored to have Denton HPRP facilitate the discussion, providing a structured and insightful framework that helped drive clarity, alignment, and momentum across all stakeholders.
The event brought together influential voices across sectors — from industry and academia to government.
Notably in attendance were:
* Pak Henri Firdaus, Managing Director of PLN EMI, whose leadership in energy innovation reinforces the importance of greener infrastructure at scale.
* Pak Denny Setiawan, Pak Sambodo, and Bu Kiki from KOMDIGI, who contributed critical perspectives on policy alignment and digital resilience.
* Prof. PS Lee (National University of Singapore), who joined IDPRO in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), cementing a regional partnership focused on sustainability, research, and cross-border collaboration.
We also extend our deep appreciation to Prof. Kalamullah Ramli and all participants who enriched the discussion with insights and actionable recommendations.
This FGD represents a unified vision: a more energy-efficient, globally competitive, and environmentally responsible data center ecosystem for Indonesia.
