The countdown to is officially on.

We’ve entered the final chapter of this 1,260km expedition. Semarang was the last major city on our route and from here, it’s a straight run to the finish line in Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta.

While in Semarang, we had the opportunity to meet with the Mayor, , who shared a powerful reminder: rivers are a source of life, a blessing that must be protected.

We’re excited to explore how can expand into Semarang and the surrounding region in Central Java.

Thank you for the warm hospitality, Semarang. We’ll definitely be back.

is opening doors to places we never expected to be at and introducing us to people we never thought we’d be sitting down with. One of them being, attending a football match in the Persebaya community where the vibes were unmatched!

We sat down with the CEO of Persebaya, who's message really hit home: taking care of our environment is a personal responsibility. The tiny, everyday acts are exactly what accumulate into the massive change Indonesia needs.

There’s a certain kind of discipline you see on the pitch and in the stands, and honestly, we need that same grit to save our rivers. It’s about showing up every day and refusing to let the plastic win.

We found a massive success story as we survey the waste management facilities available across our route!

Meet Agus Kurniawan- he is running a waste management facility that funds itself by sorting waste and selling valuable materials found.

It’s proof that waste management doesn’t have to be a burden on a community. When done right, it’s a self-sustaining solution that keeps plastic out of our rivers and creates local value.
