It starts with training. Our medical teams work with Kawan Sehat community health agents, giving them practical knowledge to recognise health risks, provide basic care within their role, and understand when someone needs medical attention.
But training only has value if that knowledge continues moving.
In Laihiru, this chain reaches children and families directly. Using portable fabric posters, Kawan Sehat agents turn medical training into simple discussions about hygiene, nutrition, malaria prevention and everyday health. Questions are asked, explanations are repeated, and examples are adapted to village life.
A message learned by an agent can reach a family. A child can take that message home. An adult who recognises a warning sign may seek care earlier.
This is how health education works in places where distance, difficult access and limited health services are part of daily life: knowledge is passed from person to person.
Since 2022, Fair Future Foundation and Kawan Baik Indonesia have been building this chain through Primary Medical Care and locally trained Kawan Sehat agents.
