Timid glances and shy hellos turned to joyous laughter and warm embraces in a matter of hours as the orphans of East Lombok opened up to the Pringgabaya Gelamang team for a day of shopping and games followed by an evening of iftar and community.

45 orphans were welcomed to the Bale Kelambi shopping centre for the third annual Hari Baik (Good Day) charity event on the last Sunday of Ramadan. This year, with the help of 28 volunteers from all over the world, we were able to support more orphans than ever before.

Our hearts are full from the opportunity to expose these children to a day of shopping they may have never experienced before and might not get to experience again any time soon; to see their eyes light up with pure excitement at the chance to choose something new for themselves… And to dance around with their carefully wrapped gift bags that were presented back to them at the end of the night like a well-deserved prize. But in reality, they were celebrating bare minimum necessities many of us take for granted. The pure hearts of these orphaned children have nothing to take for granted and express gratitude through each action.

The articles of clothing carefully hand selected by the children are not only a necessity, but a way to ensure they have EID clothing — special, clean, or new garments worn by Muslims to celebrate the holy festivals — for the end of Ramadan.

A heartfelt terima kasih goes out to the volunteers from all over the world and the Pringabaya Gelamang team who partook in food preparation, shopping, & playtime for a complete day that has imprinted lasting memories on all involved. In the end, our mission was to make each child feel valued. This event succeeded in doing just that. It was a beautiful reminder of the power kindness can hold.

Being human is destiny, but maintaining our humanity is a choice.

Tan Malaka pernah mengingatkan bahwa, ketika kapital asing kembali merajalela, imperialisme pun perlahan tumbuh dalam tubuh bangsa. Peringatan itu terasa relevan hari ini, ketika bencana di Aceh, Sumut, dan Sumbar menunjukkan betapa rapuhnya negeri ini menghadapi kenyataan banjir bandang dan longsor bukan sekadar gejolak alam, tetapi konsekuensi dari hutan yang ditebang tanpa kendali, air bah yang membawa kayu gelondongan menjadi bukti nyata bahwa keserakahan telah mengikis benteng terakhir penjaga tanah.

Namun saat rakyat berjuang menyelamatkan hidup, respons pemerintah terasa lamban dan berbelit. seolah derita masyarakat kalah penting dibanding urusan modal dan proyek besar.
Kata-kata Tan Malaka menggema kembali:
bangsa akan lemah bukan hanya karena
penjajah asing, tetapi karena ketidakmampuan pemimpinnya melindungi rakyat dan alam yang
menjadi sumber kehidupan.

Sebab di tengah reruntuhan dan lumpur, harapan tetap mencari tempat untuk tumbuh. Semoga setiap tangan yang terulur menjadi cahaya kecil yang perlahan menerangi jalan mereka kembali berdiri.

Dan semoga kepedihan ini mengajarkan kita arti kebersamaan, bahwa dalam gelap paling pekat, kekuatan terbesar justru lahir dari solidaritas rakyat yang saling menjaga.

Kisah tentang Ibu dan Rusa.

suatu hari, terdapat seorang ibu yang tinggal di sebuah rumah di tengah hutan bersama dengan anaknya yang masih kecil. Pada suatu waktu, si anak sedang bermain di halaman rumah, datanglah seekor rusa yang berusaha memasukkan tanduknya ke dalam pakaian si anak. Sang anak pun merasa ketakutan dan menangis sambil memanggil ibunya.

Ibu tersebut keluar rumah dan melihat anaknya sudah dibawa pergi oleh rusa ke dalam hutan. Ia segera mengejar rusa tersebut dan berhasil menemukan anaknya berada di sebuah rerumputan yang luas. Mereka kembali ke rumah, namun sayangnya rumah tersebut sudah tertimpa oleh pohon besar dan hancur berantakan.

Ibu tersebut kemudian mengingat saat ia menyelamatkan anak rusa dari para pemburu beberapa tahun lalu. Ia menutupi anak rusa dengan kain agar tidak ketahuan oleh para pemburu dan kemudian melepaskan anak rusa itu ke dalam hutan ketika para pemburu sudah pergi.

Ternyata, rusa yang membawa anaknya tadi adalah anak rusa yang pernah ia selamatkan dahulu. Anak rusa itu seakan-akan mencoba mengucapkan terima kasih dengan membawa anak ibu ke tempat yang aman dari bahaya pohon tumbang.

Ibu tersebut mengajarkan kepada anaknya bahwa membantu makhluk Tuhan, sekecil apapun, akan selalu berbalik pada diri kita di kemudian hari. Kita harus belajar untuk selalu membantu sesama tanpa memandang apapun, karena kebaikan yang kita tanamkan akan selalu berbuah baik di masa depan

Think Globally, Act Locally.

On the occasion of the day commemorating National Tree Planting Day, we call to action for the community to take part in tree planting. Carrying out reforestation in the Dadap Village area to restore empty functions. provide awareness and concern to the community about the importance of efforts to restore natural resources and land through planting trees. encourages people to consider the health of the planet and take action in their own communities.

Combining activities, conducting free healthy checks for the society, not only giving medicine but there is also a love of Humanity. clean up to keep our surroundings clean. mini science project, fun game with the Children's.
we don't know what our destiny will be, but one thing we know, the only ones among us who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.

would like to say thanks you to our friends and also the volunteers who have given their time to the Coastal Children's Jamboree activities, you are one the only human being on earth who reflects unselfish care, patience and compassion for each other, even if there are many shortcomings that have not been fulfilled, we apologize profusely, for your kindness and support.

A few days ago, we had friends from France, come and see some of the activities carried out by Pringgabaya Gelamang, one of the things we focus is on education, learning. might be learning is an integral part of life, and it influences how we understand the world and grow as people. We have done things like this, visiting several schools that are part of this community network.

Sometimes, we connect with the person and open up to them in order to grow as a person. we meet someone to inspire them and meet someone to become a better version of our self, and carrying out several collaborations with in distributing clean water to Lombok with which has been running for 2 years. commitment to community is evident in everything we do.
