Kalau pupuk dibuat sendiri, bisa jadi sumber pendapatan juga? 🤔

Di Sekolah Lapang FEAST!, petani memproduksi pupuk organik dari yang awalnya untuk kebutuhan kebun sendiri, kini berkembang menjadi produksi yang bernilai jual, seperti yang dilakukan Kelompok Daan Dadin di Desa Lepolima, Sikka.

Kolaborasi dengan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) pun mulai terjalin, membuka peluang pendapatan tambahan sekaligus memperkuat ketahanan pangan keluarga melalui kebun yang lebih produktif.

At FEAST!’s Farmers Field School, farmers are producing organic fertilizer. What began as a way to support their own gardens has grown into more consistent and marketable production, as seen with Daan Dadin farmers group in Lepolima Village, Sikka Regency.

Collaboration with the village-owned enterprise (BUMDes) is also taking shape, opening up opportunities for additional income while strengthening household food security through more productive gardens.

Pernah nggak, mengalami banyak kejadian yang bikin overwhelmed, tapi merasa nggak pantas meminta bantuan karena yakin semua orang lagi ditekan oleh masa-masa sulit yang sama?  

Tanpa kita sadari, kemandirian ekstra seperti itu malah bisa mengikis daya kita untuk berjuang lho! Terlebih di tengah sistem yang seolah semakin menempatkan kita di kesepian yang terorganisir. 

Menjamin keberlangsungan hidup memang tugas negara, namun berkelompok dan saling merawatlah yang akan jadi sumber pertolongan ketika jaminan tersebut belum kita dapatkan. Mari perlahan-lahan move on dari pemikiran bahwa tak ada yang bisa menolong kamu kalau bukan dirimu sendiri, karena jawabannya ada, dan banyak!

Humanis works with grassroots communities across Southeast Asia to advance rights and freedoms through three impact areas: Gender Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (GEDI); Civic Rights in the Digital Age (CRiDA); and Climate Justice. 
 
MENTARI (Menuju Transisi Energi Rendah Karbon Indonesia) is a UK–Indonesia partnership programme supported by FCDO that aims to accelerate Indonesia’s inclusive low-carbon energy transition through policy reform, investment support, and strengthened stakeholder collaboration.

Humanis is currently preparing a consortium proposal for MENTARI 2 and is opening several positions for prospective team members: 

📋 Programme Manager
👥 Gender and Inclusion Manager
🔍 Monitoring, Reporting, Evaluation, and Learning Manager 
📱Communications, Events, and Engagement Officer
 
Interested applicants are invited to submit their CV clearly indicating the role/position they are applying for in the submission by 4 June 2026. 
 
Please note that all positions are subject to the successful award and final contracting outcome of the MENTARI 2 programme by FCDO. In the event of a successful award, the team will be expected to commence work as soon as possible, with a proposed start date of 20 July 2026.

Humanis works with grassroots communities across Southeast Asia to advance rights and freedoms through three impact areas: Gender Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (GEDI); Civic Rights in the Digital Age (CRiDA); and Climate Justice.  
 
“From Governance to Rights: Promoting Peace, Equality and Civil Rights for Inclusive Society in Timor-Leste (GoR-TL)” is a project that aims to strengthen the capacity of Timorese civil society organizations, so their voices can effectively persuade the government to support laws and policies that guarantee citizens’ rights through collaborative advocacy. 
 
For the extended period of this program, Humanis seeks to engage a qualified institution or team of consultants to: 
🔍 Conduct Funding Landscape Analysis in Timor Leste. 
🗒️ Develop the relevant module and conduct capacity-building workshop(s) on resource mobilization and development of a business plan for CSOs. 
 
Interested consultants are invited to submit a letter of expression of interest, compiled CV(s), and a summary of relevant experience to [email protected] by 5 June 2026. 

Priority will be given to locally based consultants with demonstrated country knowledge and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.

Siapa yang paling sering memikirkan makan keluarga hari ini? 🤔

Di Kabupaten Ngada, Flores, mama-mama di KWT Dahlia dan Sekolah Lapang Paubuku sudah lama menjadi yang paling banyak memastikan makan keluarga terjaga. Kerja ini terjadi setiap hari, sering kali tanpa banyak dibicarakan.

Tapi ada yang mulai berbeda di meja makan mereka. Di Desa Sarasedu dan Naru, beberapa keluarga mulai memasukkan alternatif pilihan pangan sehari-hari. Pengetahuan yang tadinya dikerjakan sendiri, kini mulai dibagikan bersama karena mengurus pangan seharusnya tidak hanya ada di pundak perempuan saja.

Who thinks most about what the family will eat today? 🤔

In Ngada Regency, Flores, the mothers of Dahlia and Paubuku Women Farmers Group have long been the ones making sure their families are fed. This work happens every day, often without much recognition.

But something is shifting at their dinner tables. In the villages of Sarasedu and Naru, some families have started incorporating alternative food sources into their daily meals. Knowledge that was once carried alone is now being shared together, because managing family's food should not rest on women's shoulders alone.

Q***r experience within formal climate infrastructure remains in the margin. For Humanis, climate response and adaptation should go beyond the gender binary lens. This is exactly what we are trying to achieve in our session with NavHill Foundation and Transmen Collective at the 20th International Conference on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA20).

There, we will explore what lies behind climate responses.

Our session is designed as an interactive space for participants to discuss in buzz groups, collectively reflect on q***r and transmasculine well-being amid climate response, and ultimately co-identify practical ways to integrate SOGIESC lens into climate adaptation.

Humanis works with grassroots communities across Southeast Asia to advance rights and freedoms across three key areas: Gender Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (GEDI); Civic Rights in the Digital Age (CRiDA); and Climate Justice.

The Women Lead in Climate Action (WE CAN) project, hosted by Humanis, aims to strengthen gender equality and women’s leadership in climate mitigation and adaptation in Indonesia. To support this work, we are currently seeking a Baseline Study Consultant for the WE CAN project.

This role will generate foundational insights to inform the development of realistic and measurable targets, serve as a reference point for tracking progress and outcomes, and guide overall project implementation.
