[International Translation Day]

On September 30, we celebrate International Translation Day, a day that recognizes the important role of translators, interpreters, and other language professionals in connecting people across languages and cultures. Translation helps facilitate communication, understanding, cooperation, and the exchange of knowledge around the world.

[Remembering the September 30th Movement]

On this day, we remember the events of September 30, 1965, a significant and deeply complex chapter in Indonesiaโ€™s history. The events that unfolded on the night of September 30 and into October 1 resulted in the deaths of several military officers and were followed by profound political and social changes across the country.

Remembering history is not only about recalling what happened, but also about understanding the different perspectives and sources surrounding it. Historical records preserved by institutions such as the National Archives of Indonesia show that the events of 1965 continue to be studied through various archival sources and interpretations.

May this day remind us of the importance of learning from history, examining information critically, and preserving historical memory with responsibility.

Let us remember, reflect, and learn.

โธป

[Happy International Day for Universal Access to Information]

Information is everywhere, but access is only the beginning. Today, we recognize the importance of everyoneโ€™s right to seek, receive, and share information. In a world filled with news, social media posts, and endless content, being able to access information also means learning to understand it critically. As English Literature students, we are taught to look beyond the words, question perspectives, and understand how meaning is shaped. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ“–

Before believing or sharing information online, whatโ€™s one thing you always do to make sure itโ€™s reliable? Share your thoughts in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘‡
