Melalui pelatihan ini, para pemuda dan masyarakat belajar mengembangkan kreativitas mereka dengan memanfaatkan bambu sebagai bahan utama.

Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional (HPSN) 2025
Hari ini, 21 Februari, kita mengenang 157 jiwa yang menjadi korban tragedi longsor TPA Leuwigajah pada 21 Februari 2005. Sebagai bentuk refleksi dan aksi nyata, Invest Islands Foundation mengagendakan kegiatan pembersihan dan penanaman pohon bersama siswa-siswi sekolah binaan.
Mari terus bergerak mengelola sampah dengan bijak, dimulai dari hulu—rumah kita sendiri. Bersama, kita wujudkan lingkungan yang lebih bersih dan lestari. ♻️🌱🙏🏼

National Waste Awareness Day (HPSN) 2025 Today, February 21, we remember the 157 people who were victims of the Leuwigajah TPA landslide tragedy on February 21 2005. As a form of reflection and concrete action, the Invest Islands Foundation has scheduled cleaning and tree planting activities with target school students. Let's continue to move to manage waste wisely, starting from upstream—our own homes. Together, we create a cleaner and more sustainable environment. ♻️🌱🙏🏼

Our foster children have just given their parents a sweet surprise by delivering a meaningful love letter✨ This letter is not only an expression of love, but also a symbol of the education and values that we instill in them: honesty, empathy, and gratitude.
Through this activity, they learn the importance of communication, appreciation for parents, and how good education can shape character and closer relationships within the family. 📚👨👩👧👦 Education is not only about knowledge, but also about building a sense of love and respect for others.

Empowering Youth Through Bamboo Craft Workshop: Turning Waste into Value
At Invest Islands Foundation, we believe that sustainability and community empowerment go hand in hand. That’s why we initiated the Bamboo Craft Workshop, a skills development program aimed at transforming bamboo waste into valuable handcrafted products.

Bamboo is abundant in Montong Ajan, Central Lombok, but much of it goes to waste. Through this workshop, we provide local youth with the skills to upcycle bamboo waste into high-value crafts, creating economic opportunities while promoting sustainable practices.

Bridging Academia and Community: A Strategic Collaboration for Sustainable Impact
At Invest Islands Foundation, we believe that sustainable community development requires more than just resources—it thrives on collaboration. That’s why we’ve initiated a strategic partnership with Universitas Mataram (Unram), Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika (Undikma), and Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STP) Mataram. This collaboration aims to create real, lasting impact for the people of Montong Ajan, Praya Barat Daya, Central Lombok.

Through our work in Montong Ajan, we’ve identified key areas that need attention sustainable agriculture, women’s empowerment, environmental education, and public health. Universities play a crucial role in bridging research with real-world application. By connecting academics, students, and local communities, we create a powerful synergy for change.

Whenever possible, we employ local staff first and foremost, as well as giving all staff continuous further training and education.
MAIN OBJECTIVE OF OUR PROJECT
We focus on improving the quality of life in selected areas of Lombok through a series of educational and economical projects and the promotion of environmental issues. It is expected that beneficiaries will gain new knowledge and skills to give them better opportunities in life.
SOCIAL SECTOR
We are implementing our project in two key areas: Torok and Batu Bangke. We will be working on female empowerment initiatives by developing social enterprise products as an alternative income. We will also help to improve the water quality, sanitation and hygiene and seek to increase awareness about public health issues. Furthermore, we will try to give access to alternative sustainable energy sources such as solar panels and bio-gas.
ECO/ENVIRONMENTAL SECTOR
We aim to place society at the heart of every movement and provide a hands-on education for the community. In support of this we will create a recycling center which will be able to manage a large scale of waste in the neighborhood. We will also run eco-brick workshops and plastic recycling machines that will teach people to manually turn waste into reusable materials. Another important initiative for us is to try to fight commercial shark fishing in East Lombok by providing an alternative source of income.
EDUCATIONAL SECTOR
Education is essential in changing communities and society for the better and our aim is to make good quality education available for everyone. Using the platform of schools we will attempt to spread positive movements by hosting series of training workshops about relatable issues in schools around Lombok. We will build a learning center which can be used by students as their workspace & playground. In the future we will also build an eco-school in Torok.
DONATIONS
To maximize the potential impact of the foundation we will support the amazing work of other local organizations in Lombok like Yayasan Peduli Anak that helps underprivileged children in Indonesia by providing family-based residential care, medical treatment and legal support. Another charity close to our hearts is Lombok’s Forgotten Children that helps the sick, poor, disabled & often abandoned children of Lombok. We will also support the work of Kuta Lombok Dogs who help to reduce the numbers of stray dogs and improve their quality of life.
